Impressive and talented players from teams like NL may get chance to play in premier leagues hosted by different countries. Like Rashid Khan and Noor.

New Zealand vs South Africa, 7th Warm-up game

ICC Cricket World Cup Warm-up Matches, 2023

Venue: Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram

Date & Time: Oct 02, 02:00 PM LOCAL

New Zealand vs South Africa. NZ vs SA, ICC World Cup 2023

Kane Williamson leads New Zealand in ICC World Cup 2023. Temba Bavuma is the captain of South Africa in the tournament. New Zealand played another warm-up match earlier against Pakistan.

New Zealand showcased a marvelous performance against Pakistan. They chased down a gigantic 346-run target within 44 overs in the match. Batting first, Mohammad Rizwan led Pakistan to a powerful total of 345-5 with his 103-run knock.

However, the total was not enough to prevent New Zealand from winning. Opener Rachin Ravindra (97) and one-down Kane Williamson (54) set a 183-run stand for the 2nd wicket. Later, Daryl Mitchell (59) and Mark Chapman (65) slammed half-centuries to drive the team to victory by 5 wickets.

In head-to-head clashes in ODIs, New Zealand and South Africa have only played 71 matches. New Zealand has won 25 games while South Africa has won 41 matches. Interestingly, New Zealand and South Africa have not played much bilateral series with each other. Their last ODI game was in June 2019 during ODI World Cup 2019.

Squads:

South Africa Squad: Quinton de Kock(w), Aiden Markram(c), Reeza Hendricks, Rassie van der Dussen, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Marco Jansen, Andile Phehlukwayo, Gerald Coetzee, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada, Lizaad Williams, Temba Bavuma, Tabraiz Shamsi
