It is quite disappointing, viewers lost a chance seeing the practice match, and players missed practice prior to the World cup.

Don't think both teams will complain much, for different reasons of course. India played plenty of white-ball cricket recently, while England, seemingly, looked a little exhausted with the travel.

Plenty of rain over the last few days, so massive credit to the groundstaff. It's pitch number 3 and it looks good. Hard with a tuft of moisture, the captain winning the toss could decide on if his batters or bowlers need some work, consideringthat one more shower and thisgame could be done, says Rohan Gavaskar, in his pitch report

Aus vs NL

6 pm: We have some good news. We'll have a match, a shortened match of 23-overs a side. Toss at 6:45 pm and the first ball will start at 7 pm. 3 bowlers can bowl 5 overs while 2 can bowl 4 each. The players have come out for warm-ups

Bhai

Aajkal weather is having so many mood swings

No one can predict the rains.

October is starting in a few hrs but the weather in Delhi is still so warm.

Today was extra sunny.

I feel they should start making backup venues for all matches at least in ICC Tournaments.

Feel bad for the audience who spend so much money for tickets and wait patiently for the match to start or resume.

Backup venues hmm u mean all matches should have reserve day?

how will ppl n players go to backup venue the same day or next day that will be exhausting n poor audience will have to buy tickets again

But as in like 2 days later ka forecast ho rain so that they can change the venue.

It isn't that easy and not much practical due to tickets, security, making pitches and other stuff.

But ya kuch toh karna padega
