Yes and even in North and west, monsoon withdrawal rains will continue till Oct 10th atleast as per forecast.

Australia vs Netherlands--update

2023 World Cup: Preview - Part 1 ft. India, England, Australia

4:35 pm: Most of the covers have come off and we 're now having a good look at the pitch. But is the ground dry enough for a match to be played? That'll be determined by the umpires as they check the conditions..

4:05 pm: Good news as we haven't had rain for a while. Supersoppers are trying their best to dry the outfield.

Latest update--- Aus vs NL

5:30 pm: Live visuals and the umpires have come out for an inspection. The ground has already taken a lot of water, but the assembled crowd would hope for some sort of a match.

Ind vs Eng update--

17:30 local Time, 12:00 GMT: The umpires are out for an inspection and remember, the groundstaff need at least 90 minutes to get the ground game-ready. And quite unfortunately, it continues to drizzle and that could mean only one thing - Inevitable, any moment now!!

It's official now. The umpires see no point in hanging around as drizzle continues to fall. The game has been called off. Don't think both teams will complain much, for different reasons of course. India played plenty of white-ball cricket recently, while England, seemingly, looked a little exhausted with the travel. The next warm-up fixture for India is on Tuesday, against Netherlands, in Thiruvananthapuram. And England will play Bangladesh on Monday in Guwahati. The weather for both those games doesn't look all that great.

Australia vs Netherlands, 5th Warm-up game

We have some good news. We'll have a match, a shortened match of 23-overs a side. Toss at 6:45 pm and the first ball will start at 7 pm. 3 bowlers can bowl 5 overs while 2 can bowl 4 each. The players have come out for warm-ups

It is quite disappointing, viewers lost a chance seeing the practice match, and players missed practice prior to the World cup.
