I'm not sure if the song has been remixed, it probably has 🤷♀️ I have just heard it sung by different singers, probably in singing reality shows

4. S.D. Burman: Kali ghata chaye mora
Sujata (1959) Lyrics: Majrooh Sultanpuri
This was a difficult choice. Asha has sung some great songs for Dada Burman. She peaked around the time of his rift with Lata where she sang almost all his songs. I chose this one for the simplicity of the tune and the sweetness and yearning in Asha's voice.
When she sings, bolo kisi ka kya jaaye? I feel it in my bones!
Runner-up: O panchhi pyare from Bandini

5. Jaidev: Jahan mein aisa kaun hai
Hum dono (1961) Lyrics: Sahir Ludhianvi
Again an impeccable soundtrack and this one gets lost among the other more popular and well-loved ones but full marks to Asha for rendering Sahir's brilliant lyrics so deftly. Amazing song of hope and resilience!

6. Hemant Kumar: Meri baat rahi mere mann mein
Sahib Biwi aur Ghulam (1962) Lyrics: Shakeel Badayuni
Runner up: Bhanwra bada naadaan from the same movie.
Asha Bhosle is a self-professed Hemant Kumar fan. She has confessed to loving his voice so much she named her first-born after him. She brings out the pathos in her voice exceptionally well in this one.
whimsical additions - Few drops from a brobdingnagian ocean of timeless melodies
1. chura liya hai tumne
2. in aankho ki masti
3. acchi ji main haari(her expressions are ineffably stonking)
4. jaane jaa (duet)- reboant cries which can ecstasise ur senses
5. zara sa jhoom loo main ( i wonder who was inebriated- kajol or her) asha literally careened n dazzled alongside abhijeet!
as an artist, i prefer versatile singers over one zoners n asha segued from one genre to another with consummate ease!
A belated Happy birthday to Asha Bhosle.
Asha Bhosle Live 2000
One of my favourite songs, it has never been off my playlist ever since I discovered it.
Asha Bhosle always complained that R. D. Burman reserved his best songs for Lata Mangeshkar. I guess that's why RDB gave all songs from Ijaazat to Asha Bhosle, not a single Lata in the entire album. Each song is the album is a gem.
