Virat in his early days (till Ladakh) was presented as an ideal man - but even so he was very layered. Such kind of “good” characters are interesting to watch. But it requires a talented writer & I don’t think Saurabh Tiwary is one of them. 
And like you, I’m also a born pessimist.

I don't think so Virat was ever ideal I used to love him still do but his flaws made me connected......more than his good areas, it actually makes you human and connectable..... my most connecting point was Ajinkya and Savi

I used to like Sai too kabhi bola nhi but after him tabhi toh ship kiya.....
