Have eaten bajre ki roti and bajra related food since childhood, especially in winters, obviously it will warm the body. 😂

Shanta- Kinda was looking towards her plating as I felt she was calm over cooking with her ingredients even post 30 minute change. Plating was spot on. Was wary over bajra steam. I do find it relatable since we eat bajra & jhuwaar ki roti a lot here even though this is a Bengali dish. Ranveer trying to word it as Assam was stupid when Shanta said its a Bengali one.

Nayanjyoti- I feel it was so-so presentation wise since I'm so bored of seeing broth being poured into the dish by now by him & other contestants. I felt plating could've been condensed into one and the liquid could've been served in a bowl. I do appreciate one thing that he used non-veg protein unlike others. Combo of lemon grass & coconut is interesting.

Gurkirat- again, bit bored seeing broth being poured into the plates. 😕Plating was off. His devil's nest dish was far better than this. Even after pouring the soup, it looked like the dish was drowning in the soup as opposed to be elevated.

Sachin- Presentation was frankly speaking, not on par. Though was kinda not surprised with baking a dosa in limited time so, I wasn't much surprised with the dish taste wise since chicken seemed overcooked also.

Swarna- Plating was off. It looked like the beetroot sauce liquid starting to spread into other dishes.

Priyanka- Not bad of a presentation but not good either. I felt her bong alaska was far of a better dish than this. Fusion attempt is seemed.


How did KDK's dish get dish of the day????😲 Sorry, only Shanta's dish was the dish of the day, IMO.


Also, Gurkirat's dish was the worst dish of the day! Seriously, the soup overtook the entire dish like a boat drowning in the ocean lol. 😂



Its magic,aruna kdk and gurkirat mein kuch baat hain,its like a magic,judges suddenly feel that magic and find their dishes best. We are general people we can not feel that magic🤔

I read another tweet where someone claims an insider working on the set told him Aruna has given the judges a car each!! Let’s see what else she’s given. Show ke end tak I’m sure we’ll hear she’s given them Jewellery, maybe a flat and what not

Lobong Latika is more of a snack from what i looked in internet. Also it is famous as Lavang Latika in other states. I think it is an all purpose flour pastry deep fried & drenched in sugar syrup. Yes things can be baked on a gas stove. You cannot treat it like an oven though by keeping things directly on a baking paper. Had Santa kept another utensil which can absorb the heat from the tawa from down it could have worked. Also, u loose it’s crunchiness when u steam it. May be she was serving it like a sweet dumpling so I’ll pardon her plus also it was Garima’s idea not hers to steam.


Aruna Devi - When did poori come into that category of healthy food? RB chided KDK when she was using corn exclusively stating just one veggie does not make it healthy. So just pumpkin is healthy? She used some radish also? I don’t remember now. Whatever the dish is too simple. Usko sunane ki badle RB was trying to do advertisement for cold pressed oil(i skipped all that)

Priyanka should have simply changed the name of her dish. Instead of calling it a cake, she could have said it is a healthier version of sheera/ sweet dhokla something like that. Sath mein i am serving something bla bla. Why call it red velvet cake when the theme was Indian i believe? She has done a beet cake in the farm to table challenge. This looked like a repeat of it. Priyanka has an extensive pastry knowledge compared to the rest & she made a semolina cake? Why oh why!


Reg Garima’s comment that it is fascinating to know each ingredient has it’s own temperament bla bla & then adding it is speciality of Indian cuisine, did she sound surprised at first & then someone cued it is normal she added the speciality part? The ingredients could vary with regions but zaroor suna hoga that each grain & veggie has a temperament of it’s own. Anyway roti & salad changed it’s form and became mille-feuille and KDK got dish of the day. I have not worked extensively with non gluten flours. So pardon my ignorance. Do they stay soft after cooling down? KDK mentioned she added curd but a rustic roti(that what i saw on camera) stayed soft for so long? It is not eaten warm. Can someone clear this doubt.

Sachin bhai kya karne ja raha tha? He wasted his first half an hour, so he cooked something in the next 30 minutes.


Gurki was not chided for making a soup. Well he’s hardly criticised.


Suvarna over complicated things 😂 She could have done traditional Maharashtrian dishes & swapped some ingredient in it. Or done a baked sabudana vada/ steamed something.

Nayan should have won dish of the day with almost no negative comments. I had no clue what he made though. Not familiar with NE side at all. I know some Bengali dishes due to a bong friend but she cooks very limited.

Based on the discussion here, I’ll take a call if I should watch this week or simply skip to the end of the week where they will eliminate someone(Sachin does all black apron challenges like weekday cooking 😂. Will they send someone also to black apron challenge)?

May be it goes to her videshi account 😂 whatever the theories are Aruna has dug this hole for herself with the tweet & re-tweet. Many liked her before the egg wala saga. Her attitude has also changed from being humble to know it all. May be know it all is all her 🤷🏻‍♀️

@bold - serving liquid in a bowl is too ordinary not master chef level. All liquid should be poured from a jug in master chef during tasting 😂


Also Mille-Fuellie is doing many rounds like Kalakand.

Yes..non gluten flour rotis become dry on cooling..jowar, Bajra have ruksh..dry temperament. That's y the flour is also kneaded in warm water.

But we add curd n oil in bajra thepla along with spices..its a very common winter food and is used as breakfast, dinner, anytime snack.. everything..stays nice n fresh upto 2-3 days. Isn't as soft as wheat flour methi paratha but has a nice bite.

Haven't seen the whole episode so don't know what KDK made..but saw last 5 mins of tasting..and from what I saw of her dish it looked very much like Bajra thepla topped with few other things

Yes KDK made a bajra thepla by adding 2-3 types of green leaves available in the pantry with mooli ka salad in a different form & some sweet corn dip in which paneer was added because RB chided her that just corn is not healthy. She wanted to make a corn cream like pastry cream but decided after adding paneer to keep the corn intact. I think she was not allowed to use electricity because Aruna got cross mark on gas. They both shared a table.

Our elders used to tell that eating only corn in more quantity may give stomach ache.. specially if it's undercooked. That's the reason I still eat popcorn in limit smiley1

If RB said the same thing there must be a scientific reason behind it
