Sorry you guys, what was supposed to be a 4 day vacation to Los Angeles turned into a Southwest Airlines nightmare and we are finally back home now, just exhausted and in disbelief it could happen to us

I will start writing from tomorrow

I was too heartbroken about cancelled vacation to write the last couple nights

I am so so sorry

Will resume AM tomorrow, I dont have to go back to work until Tuesday the 3rd

PSS: In life sometimes when you see a movie or a show which is very impactful and soulful it remains with you for long time ..i started reading sosy after DeC 10th from then I'm unable to get it out of my system , last time I read it was before 2 years (second time) and i got busy in life and now ...a reel , a movie , a song whatever I do im thinking About R&B and II..❤️

How beautiful and awesome is this when a fictional character makes your life a little more better ...since it's in Tamil i guess I got more connected to it..🤗

Proximity to him, the dinner date itself, the wine… was beginning to cloud her brain

But it felt like he was saying SOME thing……..

“You’ve never had a serious relationship?” she asked the wine helping her loosen up

She didn’t give a rip about him when sober he realized

“Umm.. (shrugging) Not really”

“No infatuation while in college?”

He smiled

“Where did you go for college?” she asked squinting her eyes, beginning to feel woozy

He smiled

“Secret hai kya Pradyut?”

“No… you didn’t look me up on LinkedIn”

She leaned back looking at him deeply “I think I did, when Ajit Singhji said he was selling to a Dilli ki company”

“Hmm”

“I don’t recall, I don’t think I scrolled down far enough on your profile”

“I went to Delhi College of Engineering, Civil & Mechanical Engineering double Masters” he said quietly

“You are a nerd?” she asked him

“U think so?”

“My Dad…” she stopped still coherent enough to realize she shouldn’t be blabbering “My Dad would have loved you!!” she was going to say

“Your Dad had an engineering degree as well?” he prodded

He was shrewd and a master interrogator, he gently poured more wine for her

“Aur nahi peeoongi Pradyut, I am on my 3rd?”

“No second” he muttered

She didn’t know

“Did they groom you from little to take on ur Dad’s company?” she asked leaning forward

Her beautiful lips were shiny and moist, her eyes sparkling, her cheeks flushed from the two glasses of wine, or three… there was a childlike trust in her eyes

“Not really… my Dad didn’t care, he would have done it for as long as he liked and divested”

“Oh”

“Does it make you sad?” he was serious, though his eyes glinted playfully

“Oh no… matlab, mujhe laga, most Punjabi families the son takes on the Dad’s biz”

“What about your family?” he gently pressed

“Umm.. neither wanted the bookstore I guess… none of the three” she looked heartbroken

“So we have that going for us” he smiled

“What?” she looked at him startled

“Not wanting our Dad’s biz”

“But you are doing it, Tushar and Gaurav, both didn’t” she said sadly

“But YOU are” he reminded

She nodded turning red self consciously

“You still not believe it?”

“I am just salvaging it for my Mum”

“The reasons could be different” he smiled “We both are where we didn’t think where we would be” he smiled

“I didn’t study Civil or Mech E in college like you did”

“I was great at math, I mean I AM” he nodded with a smile

“Can you fix a toaster?” she asked leaning forward

“that’s electrical” he muttered laughing under his breath

She gulped more of her wine

“Umm… theek hai, can you fix a car?” she was unsure at first

“Sure” he nodded casually

“Can u fix MY car”

“Why? Whats so special about it”

“Nothing, the next time I have a mechanical failure I am going to ask you to do it”

“Phew I was afraid you want me to build you a Saturn rocket”

They genuinely stared at each other

“Mujhe aasaman se tare todkar lao type person samjhe ho tum Pradyut?”

“Somewhat… like that” his lips twitched on one side

“main khud tod loongi” she told him

He poured some more wine for her as the food arrived

“Why don’t you drink ?” she demanded “This is just absolutely diviiine”

“I didn’t care for it when I was in high school so never did”

“Peeke dekho” she extended her glass

He sipped slowly

“Pretty good”

“Saari mat pe jaana” she warned

He proceeded to drink it all up

“Pradyutttt” she scolded him

“I am sorry”

“I was drinking too much, mujhe tumhari tarah chhod dena chahiye”

“Sure, try it”

“I didn’t… at one point I went for years without a drop, after I broke up I did”

He was irritated that some man made her sad

“Do u still drink because of him?”

“No I drink because of YOU” she said boldly

A drunk Taaruni was indeed delightful he thought

She spoke things she otherwise wouldn’t

“Oh yeah? How so?” he prodded leaning forward

“I am so focused on defeating you, I cant think straight, by the evening I am so exhausted I have to knock myself out” she said

She was clearly not thinking

She is also not going to remember any of it tomorrow

She had no idea what she was saying

“Lets say you win… what would that look like?”

“Umm… (she swallowed what she was chewing) and looked at him in shock “Uh… I have to”

“Surely you must have a vision?” he mocked her gently

She stared at him dumbfounded, shut her eyes and thought about it, and opened it too soon, because she saw him when her eyes were shut

Felt a giant thud on the inside

Pradyut would love to take her on date very often 😂.
