Muharram--Ashura

i am shocked to see not even a single topic about Muharram..well 2day is Ashura day i thot why dun i start a topic...

well i dunno...u can post anything related to muharram here...about how u feel...or want to share some stories from that event....there are a lot of things that we can talk about here related to Muharram...so get started guyzz

it's sad to see noone steppin up to disucss this topic...well i'm wid u anumera...one thing i don't understand is that wut was the need for our paak bibiz to be taken hostage and then drag them town to town w/o dupata...Y did Allah miya let this happen? kiya Unn (RA) kay ansoon ki koi value nehin thi?I understand kay Imaam Husaain (RA) nay mana kar diya tha farishtoon ko when they had their swords against yazideez in the sky but what was the need for such zulim?

yah i understand that...but the thing is the entire Kabeela knew what was to happen with them...and tha ti was an imtahan of their patience and bravery...even before Hazarat Imam (RA) was born, Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) was told by Allah that his beloved grandson whould have to go thorough all this in Karbala...thats why whenever Hazrat Imam (RA) used to come to the Prophet (SAW), the Prophet used to kiss him mostly on his neck,,,and kiss Hazrat Hasan (RA) (hazrat Hussain's (RA) brother) on the face...so one day Hazrat Imam Husain (RA) went to his MOm Bibi Hazrat Fatima (RA) and and acted naraz...he said why does grandfather always Kiss Hassan (ra) on face and me on the neck...so Hazrat Fatima (RA) went to her FAther and explaines Hussain's (RA) concern...to this the Prophet got tears in his eyes..and repleied that where i kiss is the place Hussain (RA) will have to bear the most...to this Hazrat Fatima understood the meaning and got tears in her eyes too...then Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) kissed Hazrat Imam on his face and neck..

sometimes i myself have different questions in my mind..liek why didnt Allah help the ladies atleat...and then we also get the answer if we look that im not sure..but i think the Ladies of the kabeela didnt ask for help...they knew they had to be very patient and had to have their hearts not full of emotions but full of rocks...and also they bore all that so the world could see how Ahle Imam was being tortured and to see what really was happening..and to show all thos who went in hidings when Hazrat Imam (RA) went for the battle tht they weren't there when Imam (RA) called for their help...and the biggest role from the female side was played by HAzrat Zainab (RA), who was Hazrat Imam (RA) sister..

hii.. thats god atleast someone has started wt this topic..i want to share some thing.. may be european young youth doesnt have much knowledge abt it..Muharram (Arabic: ) is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four sanctified months of the year. Fighting in this month is looked down upon and is often put to the side in respect for Islam. Since the Islamic calendar is lunar, Muharram moves from year to year when compared with the Gregorian calendar.

The first day of Muharram is the start of the Islamic Year. The Remembrance of Muharram takes place during this month. The Shia Muslims celebrate in a different way in which they commemorate the Battle of Karbala and consider this a month of sadness and mourning. The commemoration reaches its climax on the tenth day of Muharram, known as Ashurah.

This is the day Husayn ibn Ali, the grand son of the prophet Muhammad was martyred along with his family members and friends in the Battle of Karbala. This day is important in religions other than Islam also. It is, for example, related by the Jews to the time of Moses when he crossed the Red Sea escaping from the Pharaoh. Sunni Muslims often fast on this sacred day.

This month of Muharram also has traditions which have no support from Islamic teachings. For example, the celebration of the Muslim new year, and the partying and card giving, etc, associated with it is considered to be a bidah and even haraam to all Shia muslims because they feel it is a time to mourn and it is haraam to express any happiness.

Muharram is so called because it was unlawful to fight during this month; the word is derived from the word 'haram' meaning forbidden. It is held to be the most sacred of all the months, excluding Ramadan. This month is most sacred to the Shi'a Muslim community and heavy mourning activities on the first ten days of the month are observed by Shi'a Muslims to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad. Some Muslims fast during these days but the shia muslims do not fast as they consider fasting a sign of happiness. The tenth day is called Ashurah, meaning, 'the tenth', and it is a day of voluntary fasting. The shia just stop eating and drinking but do not fast till the evening. The Sunni Muslims also fast during Muharram and on the ninth and the tenth day or the tenth and the eleventh day as recommended by the Prophet Muhammad during his lifetime.

ok so HAzrat Zainab was told by the Imam himself not to mourn his death by screaming or crying out loud or u know doing matam.. so she stood brave...and when Hazrat Imam(RA) was going for the battle...as he was the only male able to battle left...meaning on of his sone was terribly sick and was unable to battle..so he was the only male that survived through all tht time...so when he was going for battle...Hazrat Zainab say...Bhai..plaz stand in the middle so i could atleast see you falling and get a chance to mourn on that...so he leaves...and at that time Hazrat Zainab (RA) prays to Allah..ay Allah.. make the ground rise enough fo rme to see my brother fall on the ground...and when HAzrat Imam (RA) was going out to the battle..he prayed..aye Allah...make the ground fall deep enough so my sister cannot see my die...and both of the dua's were granted...Hazrat Zainab (RA) saw him falling...and Hazrat Imam (RA) dua was granted and his sister didnt see him getting martryed...


When Imam (RA) falls on the ground and is trembling yazeed orders one of his man to go and and cut of his head....the man goes forward and when he is near the Imam(RA) he ask, aye Muhtram..who are you and who do you belong to..why are these poeple after you....to this the Imam replies..you need to do what you are told to do why ask questions...the man was a christean and so he replies...last night i saw Jesus with a Buzarag who had noor all over his face and Hazrat Isa (AS) told me PLZ DO NOT GET ME EMBARRACED INFRONT OF him...referring to the hazrat with noor on his face...
so the guy asks can you tell me who that hazrat was with HAzrat Issa...to this Imam (RA) repleis that was my nana (grandfather) Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) with Hazrat Isa in your dream...i am from his family...i Am Hussain Ibe Ali ibn Talib...son of Fatima ibn Muhammad (SAW)..to this the guy got soo shcoked and took his sword and turned around and attacked his own army and fought until he died...

when Hazrat Imam was on the ground ...he was in sajada.. during that time Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) comes in his dream and says...beta bus chor do ab maray pas a jao...the Prophet is stretching his arms toward him and he waked up to the reality...before he was going to the battle in the tent he says i picked up all the dead bodies 2day..who will pick my dead body and to this his sister replies...Aye Imam (RA) ur not alone ur sister is still alive...she will pick your body...when the battle gets over and the dushman takes his sur Mubarak and the rest of the body is left between the rocks underneath swords...HAzrat Zainab runs out with her dupata on her shoulder her hair spread out and goes to the body picks it up and aska is this the body of my brother..and a voice comes saying yes this is the body of your brother then she raises it and says..aye Allah humari qurbani qabool farmana...HAzrat was the bravest women present there...she ascrificed her two sons on her brother without shredding a single tear...

and i think if she had juss asked Allah for help then he would have helped them but she didnt..she knew that this had to happen..and that is why Islam is still present to this day...

omg!!! thank god someone started this topic....okey well this morning i was watching GEO newz and they were showing a lot of shiyan doing matam here in new york and some american were liyke dumb founded 😕 ...i didn'tknew that there were alot of shiyans here cuz when they showed how many people were there, i was like what 😲 !!! and and in pakistan, they showed even small kids were doing matam with knives 😭 .....i was like crying and when i was small, my friend took me to this place where alot of men were doing matam and i just threw up 🤢 !!! it was so scary.... i'm not a shiyan but then somethimes i feel how would they be feeling when they are doing matam and even kids.....i was crying....well this is my experinece that i had when i was small and it was so sad!!! 😭

yah thatss truu.. i have seen all this too..and it is all haram..and im not trying to offend any1 here...but using voilent things to do mata is totally haram...even Imam told her sis not to do any sort of matam..and not even swraing at the dushman.,..if u want to do matam then just simply cry and that should be no longer then 3 dayzz after tht u have to go back to ur normal life...and this was said by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) juss to say inna lila hi wa ina ilahi rajioon...as everybody has to part from this world...doing matam crazily wouldn't bring them back...so these ppl should use common sense....and end these differences..

The tragedy of Karbala is an unparalled event of the history of mankind.
The great sacrifies made by Imam Husaain AS grandson of Holy Prophet P.B.U.H on Asurha 10 th of Muharram and the steadfastness shown him against tyranny and oppression is a beacon of light for everyone.By commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Husaain we learn lesson from his noble thoughts and convictions.Learning abt wat happened to him and his companions provides us a light for the future.His actions in the most difficult conditions and unimaginable atrocities , have inspiring effects on our thoughts and actions.T he tragedy of Karbala represents the acme of self denial and sacrifies by the family of the Prophet. Hence,the islamic world is indebted to the brave Son of HOLY PROPHET HAZART MUHAMMAD and shall remain indebted to him till the Day of Resurrection.


I dont know why u started this topic ...........u can talk abt basic things thats ok but saying this that matuam is haram or shia dont have sense is like u urself dont have sense and u r saying that IMAM told BIBI ZAINAB NOT TO MOURN ITS NOT TRUE THEY WERE NOT ALLOWED TO CRY OR MOURN 4 THEIR LOVE ONES bs when they cry i mean all the BIBI'S yaazid sent his men to hit IMAMZAINULABIDIN with koray and zanjeer and when BIBI SAKINA daughter of IMAM HUSSAIN AS was crying 4 his father yaazid he scold her and put her alone in a dark zindaan which was so small that a normal man cant stand strat or lie their though yaazid knows that BIBSAKINA is scared of darkness as she was just 4 year old ................u say why shia mourn or do mataum they r the quam which allah made on the prayers of BIBI FATIMA AS and HAZART MUHAMMAD PBUH to do matum and cry 4 they musebat and mashaib of his son and family bs when allah told HAZART that how his grandson will die then he asked allah kay kia he'll be their at that time allah say no then he asked FATIMA HOON GEE allah said no then HE ASKED ALI ALLAH SAY NO at that time BIBI SAY YA ALLAH JAB MAI BHI NAHI HOO GEE, ALI AUR BABA BJI NAHI TU MERAY BACHAY KA MATTUM KOON KARAY GAY THEN ALLAH SAYS HUM AEK QUAM BANAY GAY JO TUMHARAY BACHAY KO ROHAI GI APNA KISI PYARAY KI THRAHAN..........THATS how shia 's r here .

ok buddy it seems liek ur here to fight if u didnt read properly i sed ...using voilent thingsto do matam is totally haram..i didnt say doing matam is haram...but killing ur self for it is...and lemme make it clear to wut im pointing at...im point at the shia's using and knives and swords and hurting themselves....and making their kids who are only 3 to 5 yrs old hurt themselves with knives and stuff like that..and i would also like u to know that only shia's dont cry for Imam martyrdom...every sigle MUSLIM does...because it was a great tragedy and because of tht we can say Islam is so high 2day...and lemme ask you did Allah(ST) said that he will creat a nation who will use voilence as matam....well lemme juss tell no where in Quran or Hadeeth does it say that any muslim should come to voilence douring moruning or try to kill themselves...and in my previous post i sed the Imam told his sister NOT to mourn by ripping her clothes and hiiting her self...mourn in a respectful way and i also sed that the mourning is to go for 3 dayz only....

now i dunno where U GOT the idea that im saying mourning is totally haram....Hazoor Akram (SAW) said..its a hadeeth...sed if you lost a beloved one then do mourn and only mourn for threee days also say this Inna lilahi wa ina ilahi rajioon...as everything belongs to Allah and will return to him...

so i think i made it clear at what i was pointing at...and plzzz can we not start a topic of fighting here....this topic was just to create awareness of wut happened at Karbala...

so Zhasan..read again wut i sed there and wut u r saying in ur post...ur saying i worte the Imam told Bibi Zainab to NOT MOURN AT ALL....well show me where i sed that in my post...plzzz dont juss make up something..thats all i got to say..and can we not have anymore discussion on this topic...all i wanted was to have a peacefull topic of either how u feel or if u wanna share some stories for Karbala.,..
