Happiness can arrive despite
the obstacles on our path.
It is in how we respond on the inside
to the stimuli,
before we can touch it
on the outside
and give it worldly labels,
for our much-limited human comprehension.
Happiness is rarely ever,
only a destination.
It is but a river deep within our soul
that snakes its way
between mountains, valleys, and
sleepy towns etched in stolen memories -
soft yet undeterred,
before it can kiss the sea
in its own time.
Happiness is the fruit of
tranquillity and
oneness,
reconciled between the mind, body, and spirit,
come rain or shine, praise or wrath,
should we have the courage to
truly seek it.
First and foremost –
in ourselves.

I am back to India forums after a long hiatus. Nobody knows me, so lemme introduce myself 😆
My name is Sneha Narayanan. I am an author and a poet. My next book, Self Love - Weave Your Own Fairytale will release in 2023
I quit my corporate job in 2018 to pursue my passion for writing . I come from a middle class Army family, My poems mostly explore themes ranging from body positivity to self-acceptance, positive thoughts, happiness and healing.
Throughout my life, I have struggled with low self-esteem and body image issues, always seeking approval and a sense of belonging. However, through writing, I have found a way to embrace self-love and acceptance.
I welcome your feedback on my poems and how I can further improve my work. As an author, I understand the importance of continuous growth and learning. Please feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions.
