That movie is at least three months away from release. I don't think he has anything to gain from this stunt.

Let’s be honest. His target audience for his movie probably wasn’t offended by the Hindi comment and it meant his name appears in the papers a few days before its release. It’s probably a win for him. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I still think it's a planned PR move by both. Kannada pride + 'Hinthi imposition' issue always generates a lot of buzz in Karnataka. 

Though I did love Sudeep's reply. Planned or not, it was a banger.
