Shantanu hasn't aged a bit since his Dil Dosti Dance days 

So shantanu is not playing the boyfriend who sells her to the brothel, gangu is already a prostitute in this song, before she gets on the carriage with Shantanu she is saying bye to all the prostitutes standing outside.
