Did I anywhere said I back the shitty govt? Heck I know being a doctor what to work during covid times. All they say about the doctors being frontline warriors,but what's lies behind only the person who works know.

My concern is what is the need to say I come from two India? Every nation has dark and bright sides. Now what's the need of that guy to drag only the darker side in an international platform.? It's like washing our dirty laundry in public.

Yes I didn't pay attention what he said and that's true as I never follow these shitty comedians. What frustrated me is only the 2 India thing. Everything aside, he is funny or not, why bring in religion while talking about nation. Only Hindus worship Females and not other religions. And last I checked, India is a diverse country with many religions.

This complete disregard for India’s minorities by Virdas to make some few minutes of comedy, this is the Hindutva terror. He is pushing the Hindu agenda. This video brings into the light how this guy is actually Modi bot and is hiding behind his fake left leaning.

New York Times needs to take notice and call out Virdas blatant display of Communalism by calling India a Hindu nation. This is not democracy. Washington post and BBC should jump in asap.

Some peoole cannot comprehend here that there are people who can find wrong in what both Vir and Kangana said.

Also that there can be people who can find somethings out of both their statements to agree with and disagree with.

Also that there are people who find both loathsome to the point both shouldn't be given attention/importance.

It's unfortunate a comedian like Vir Das has gone down to level of KRK and Kangana.

Vir Das tbh has never been a lime light hogging one, I don't think his intentions were wrong, but it doesn't matter now anyways. If his intentions were wrong he would have never given any clarification.

But don't you think it is quite silly how these things are going right now? Like why anyone opposing Vir Das is seen generally as a right wing person? I mean why every Indian who doesn't like people criticising Indian society in front of the world is seen as right wing😆. Okay imagine if Vir Das's speech would have left out Modi and PM Cares, and also added problems like forced conversions by Christains missionary of tribes, treatment of Muslim women, comedians being harassed for making jokes on topics other than right wing cries for and so on. Would he have gotten the same level of praise?

I just wonder, and thank it is him talking about Modi and PM Cares which is the actually triggering the right wing and also left wing supporting him. If we flip that, it would be completely different scenarios.

And no I am not denying that some people are genuinely upset with his statement regardless of them supporting BJP or not. Because not everyone likes these type of things and take things generally. So they will be upset.

Anyways who cares, Vir Das has finally gotten a well deserved attention😆 and publicity. IMO he is a good comedian and deserves more views and publicity than pathetic politically motived, Kunal "oh don't punch down on marginalized, only insult Uppercaste Hindus" Kamras and his ilk.

What I learned from this issue ..on Twitter of course..is that US has more of the crime he mentioned compared to India..so he chose the wrong topic to make fun of?..or the wrong country..

What bugs me is how do people find comedy in such a serious n sensitive issue..do TED talks, call urself a preacher or a reformer..u aren't a comedian man
