Parallels between Raghvi and Sunki

Are makers drawing parallel between RaghVi and Sunki marriage here ?

On second watch I remembered Aai’s dialogue to Amma, one day after Raghvi’s marriage, where she questions Amma will she marry off her daughter to man like Raghav? .

Makers have always attempted to equate Sunny to Raghav, so it's plausible that they're drawing parallels here: one marriage that began with hatred but has since blossomed into love, and another that appears to be in love but is actually toxic.

Keeping aside redemption track for a moment ,

Raghav was quite rude to Pallavi and mistreated her as a result of his own poor investigation and subsequent misunderstandings. His impatient and impetuous behaviour lead him to mistreat and insult Pallavi and same behaviour is driving Kirti away from him now. Sunny likewise mistreats Kirti; he is rude to her, much as Raghav was to Pallavi, he has reduced Kirti to a submissive woman in their relationship; Raghav manipulated Pallavi and his actions broke her relationships with Deshmukhs whom she considered her family , now Sunny’s manipulative behaviour is driving Kirti away from Raos, the only but major difference between both situation is that Sunki are lovers, whereas Raghvi and Pallavi were adversaries.

He’d have to see his own beloved sister being treated rudely by a man 😆.

Although Amma was well aware of Raghav's bitter relationship with Pallavi, she emotionally blackmailed him to marry her and her action pushed Pallavi into a forced marriage , which fortunately turned out to be good but one cannot deny that Pallavi's life could have been miserable as well, had Raghav not realised his mistake and they continued to hate each other. Now Amma's actions are driving Kirti closer to Sunny, she'll have to watch her daughter suffer the same way Pallavi did when Raghav entered her life.

Will Amma be able to sit calmly and watch Kirti correct Sunny's poor behavior, as she expected Pallavi to come and correct her son's behaviour?

According to her thought process , Pallavi was supposed to accept marriage with her unruly son and bring out his latent goodness, so why does she desire an already decent boy for her own daughter?

She'll have to go through the same worry that Aai felt when Pallavi married her adversary.

Kirti, on the other hand, was constantly told to leave her lover's fairyland, yet she selected it as her safe heaven, rejecting all red flags. Now, only Sunny and his deeds will wake her up, assuming Kirti has any conscience to recognise and understand Sunny's follies.

Similarly, Vijay had repeatedly told Pallavi to stay away from Raghav, but she couldn't because dealing with Raghav was important for their business. Like Kirti, Pallavi ignored all red flags and naively gave in to Raghav's manipulation, later regretting it. I wonder if Kirti will have a similar rude awakening.

If you ask me this track was probably planned when Sunny was introduced but channel interfered and makers had to prepone Mandaar track , after which Kirti and Sunny’s characters got butchered a lot , now a simple sorry won’t sweep all their horrible actions in

Oh wow! This is an interesting take on SunKee track. I would like if Amma realised that expecting a life partner to sort her kids is wrong. I want to see Keerthi in her anger say that if she expected Pallavi to improve Raghav or Keerthi's prospective husbands to do that for her, she should let her also improve Sunny. I also want Keerthi to say that if she thinks Sunny is controlling her then she's wrong and the Raos also don't let her take decisions they don't approve of by locking her.

If Amrutha was forgiven was helping her mom in the photos kaand then they can still redeem Keerthi but Sunny is absolutely pathetic. Him planning to drug Keerthi and Pallavi is 🤢

Edit: Does Keerthi know about Sunny drugging Pallavi? I also forgot about the hit and run ... This is the most common crime which is covered up by a relative in ITV and other fictional stories.😡 Hope SunKee and Sanki vanish.

Very interesting contrast you have brought here. Raghav & Keerthi actually share the same stubborn, what I want, I will have it at any cost kind of personality. Both the siblings also have very firm points of view and their actions are determined by it. Their mother is also equally stubborn & strong in her views. Raghav realised the gravity of his mistake only when the proof of Pallavi's innocence literally hit him on his face. Jaya realised what her son had suffered all those years, when Pallavi sat her down & put things in perspective. Raghav & Jaya under went the change because of a strong catalyst. They would have continued to be their own selves if Raghav had not found proofs or Jaya was not called out for her behaviour. Similarly Keerthi needs a catalyst to make her change her approach towards Sunny. The focus of the Rao family should be to bring about that realisation in her about how wrong she was in judging Sunny. It has to be quite a strong reason because the girl has supported Sunny through all his misdeeds. In short, nothing less than a revelation by Sunny with his own act is going to deter Keerthi. Yelling, screaming or trying to get her married off & packed abroad is not going to change Keerthi.

Next, Amma was extremely confident that Pallavi would bring out the innate goodness of Raghav (Raghav already has/had a kind heart). Amma also did mention to Keerthi that Raghav would provide the support for Pallavi. It all worked out well eventually, could have gone wrong also but Amma's faith paid off along with Raghav & Pallavi genuinely falling for each other. In this relationship Amma does not have the confidence that Sunny & Keerthi can lead each other to becoming better people. In one of the recent episodes she does mention to Keerthi that Sunny has brought her worst out, or something to this effect. Objectively speaking Raghav was no saint but in comparison Sunny is very dark. He has manipulated Keerthi to such an extant that her mother's upbringing & values also has no effect on her. Therefore I think Jaya is totally against Sunny.

This is my present reading of the situation.

I've thought through this and trying to add my two cents.

I believe the makers are trying to bring out the difference in Raghvi vs Sunkee as well as between Raghav vs Sunny and Keerti vs Pallavi. I will try and add a few reasons for each of them.

Raghvi vs Sunkee

1. Raghvi had a hate marriage but both of them believed in the sanctity of this institution. How much ever they said it was a deal, they both ensured that they don't break their vows even when they hated each other. In contrast, Sunkee have a love marriage but they are not even aware what marriage stands for. It is more superficial for them.

2. Raghvi are equals in this marriage and they both respect each others choices. In case of Sunkee, it is clear that Sunny holds the reign in the relationship and Keerti follows. There is no respect as Sunny only cares about money and disrespects Keerti at every possible instance and she has no self-respect left to fight for her own rights.

3. Raghvi value their families and are always trying to keep the family united and happy. Sunkee are selfish and only think about themselves and are willing to insult and hurt their family for their selfish love.

Sunny vs Raghav

1. Sunny appears as a charming person but in reality is a conniving manipulator. Raghav may appear arrogant to the world but he will not let an innocent suffer.

2. Sunny is selfish to the extent that he won't hesitate to do criminal acts to achieve his goals. Raghav has a better moral compass and will draw the line to criminal acts.

3. Sunny wants to trick Raghav to take over his wealth but Raghav had worked hard and toiled to make his name in the business world.

Pallavi vs Keerti

1. Pallavi may be more gullible but she's sees the good in people. Keerti assumes the worst in people without giving them a chance for clarification.

2. Keerti doesn't question and blindly believes everything Sunny tells her including being an accomplice in criminal acts but Pallavi is more smart and knows how to handle difficult situations within the law.

3. Keerti doesn't care about her family or their approval for Sunny. She got married without the consent of her family but still came back to the same house mocking the same members. Whereas for Pallavi her family means everything and she will never let harm come their way.
