Is Shilpa Shetty planning to start a new life without Raj Kundra

Life ceased to be hunky-dory for businessman Raj Kundra when he was arrested by the Mumbai Police's Crime Branch on July 19 in a case related to the creation and distribution of p,,nographic content. Now, as he struggles to get bail in the case, with the Mumbai Police labelling him as the 'key conspirator' of the whole racket, it may seem that things are far from okay in his personal life, too. The buzz around B-Town is that his wife and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has decided to move out of the house she shares with her husband and children and start afresh, away from the controversies he is currently being investigated for. Rumour mills began churning when a report surfaced on an entertainment portal that a friend of the actress' had spoken about the alleged trouble in the couple's paradise. The friend was quoted as saying, 'Raj Kundra's troubles aren't going away in a hurry. On the contrary, they seem to be multiplying every week. The disclosure of Raj Kundra's alleged link with adult content came as much a shock to Shilpa as to the rest of us. She had no clue that the diamonds and duplex were coming from nefarious resources.' Furthermore, the friend allegedly revealed that Shilpa Shetty has decided to stay away from all the money her husband made through his alleged misdeeds. The friend reportedly added, 'She won't be touching a penny of Kundra's assets from what we know. She earns a substantial amount of money from judging reality shows. She has let it be known in the film industry that she is looking at more film roles after Hungama 2 and the unreleased Nikamma.' As per reports, the actress has the support of the film industry. She has told her friends in the industry that she is open to working and has even received offers from friend and filmmaker Anurag Basu and director Priyadarshan. As per her friend, Shilpa won't have any problems living a comfortable life. The friend said, 'Maintaining her standard of living won't be a problem for Shilpa even if her husband is inside for a long time'.

Okay, it’s commendable she doesn’t want a penny of his money... Although they share kids, so why not?

But I find it hard to believe that

Don’t think she and her kids can maintain the exact standard of living without receiving a penny from him...

Will she really???

Heard in Mumbai circles people were jealous and in awe of her lifestyle and riches... And her “ friend” says she had no idea that it was fueled by nefarious means 😛

He was always crooked and sleazy but I think it got worse after Shilpa. They were the perfect match in a way because marrying a celebrity got him into the power corridors that he would never have had access to before. Now he could do his money-making schemes on a higher level with other richer people. 

He even got into the IPL because he had a celebrity connection due to Shilpa. They only had a small part (10%) in the Rajasthan team but that was still much bigger and more high profile than whatever he had done before. He was a nobody before Shilpa. Even if he had money, a regular millionaire is a dime a dozen in the UK. Even your next-door doctor probably has a few million saved up.
