You know what I feel is… Vir has moved on but he is too practical and has this illusion that he hasn't and he shouldn't! Sakshi jaap is the only way he can convince himself that he cannot move on and he hasn't… I think this track was brought up just to make Vir finally realize that..what if Purvi leaves him? You have described Vir's state of mind so well! Vir really is in denial about his love for Purvi...matlab he knows he loves her, but he has held on to Sakshi for so long that now he doesn't know how to let go!

I agree that the entire fault doesn't lie with Vir, Purvi is also to blame for not trusting him, not confiding in him. Their feelings and insecurities will be sorted only of they start talking to each other.
