This is his normal thing. He has always held her hand as if its his haqq. It is not really his right, but they are giving him a liberty bcz of his special feelings for Anokhi. Otherwise he never touches any other student, male or female. Manhandling was yesterday when he made that nasty comment.

But during the car scene he avoided touching her. During the riots, he said he doesn't want to touch her but has to in order to keep him safe. I think he doesn't intentionally do it, but as a professor I don't see why he would touch Anokhi like that

In OG they get married in the mandir so shaadi hogi but it will be only them too.
