The episode begins with Baa expressing her displeasure at the thoughts of Anupama doing a job. Anu says the previous time she had taken uo a job Baa was against it , that time she was working for herself, but this time she will be working for the family income. She pleads Baa to allow her so that she can meet the family expenses. Babuji silently encourages Anupama and Baa reluctantly agrees.
Samar n Nandini are working together, repairing electronic equipment, she guesses Samar’s worries and shares with his woes like a best friend, they discuss how Toshu was very upset and blaming this mother for everything. He failed to see their mother’s pain. He accuses his innocent mother or being responsible for his separation from Kinjal. Nandini advises Samar to give full support to his bro, never let him feel lonely. Make sure Toshu takes no wrong step.
at Kavya’s house she had ordered Thai curry for dinner and asks Vanraj to join her at dinner table. Van eyes the Thai curry that was un appealing to him , he yearns for some simple dal . He asks Kavya to make some deal for him so that he can eat with the rice that has come with the Thai curry. Kavya thinks that Anupama would have prepared his dal in a jiffy, just for his happiness she agrees to make some. He smiles in appreciation n pulls her into a tight hug. Right then the main door is thrown ajar and in walks Anirudh. He hides his disgust and fury at catching the lovers red handed. Wife Kavya confronts him for entering with out permission n how he stole her keys. He states this was house, Kavya was still very much his wife n he had rights to walk in any time and he got a duplicate key made for a 100 bucks. He plonks on the sofa n makes himself comfortable . He refuses to budge from his house n states he had no objections to the 3 of them living together . Vanraj raises objections with Kavya , she accuses Aniruddh and lots of fireworks happen between the trio.
Unlimately Vanraj can’t take it any more , he blames Kavya for not keeping her husband out and allowing this to come between them, he walks out of her house in a fit of fury. Kavya is scared he might go back tk Anupama n asks hi to stay at rented place of a hotel room, but Van retorts he would do as he pleased n not take orders from Kavya . She had refused him to a “Dhobi ka kutta, na ghar ka na ghaat ka “
Van drives home and enters Shah house on the pretext of handling Toshu’s problem.
the Shah family is having their dinner. They are surprised to see him, paani expresses her unbridled joy on seeing her father, Baa is thrilled too .she welcomes him with open arms n invites him to join them at dinner. Vanraj fakes reluctance but hungrily eyes the fresh hit chapattis smeared with ghee, yellow dal, aloo ki Sabzi, being an bhrata and rice. He fakes he was not interested in eating. Baa asks him again tk join the meal , Pakhi pulls him a chair, aAnu places a thaali before him and he starts tucking in to the food hungrily , he gets a Phone call from Kavya but he chooses to ignore it . He gets mouthwatering as baa informs bahu had make baingan ka bharta.
Anupama notices this n realizes he was hungry , she prepares fresh chapatis for him , much to Samar’s disapproval. Anu says she was just acting humane n offering food to a hungry person.
Van gorges into the food as Baa notices n asks if he did not get food to eat at Kavya’s place . He gets another call from Kavya but refuses to take the call. He realizes his mistake by leaving his house . He was living here he was like a king , but now he did not know where he will sleep n where his next meal would be coming from.
he helps himself to another helping .
At Kavya’s house Aniruddh taunts her that Van had no place to go other than Anu’s house n he was sure he was there with her right now. Kavya is very upset n it doesn’t help when Van does not take her calls. She is filled with jealous fury n thinks she could not allow him to get back with Anupamaa.

Rakhi is furious with Anupama as she calls her demanding to k ow the whereabouts of Kinjal. Anu is shocked n inquires abhor Kinjal, she learns that the previous night Toshu had left home to meet Kinjal and asked Samar not to tell any one about his departure. Anupama , Baa and Babuji are shocked and fear for the kids . Rakhi threatens police action against Shah family of her daughter was not found. She warns of putting the family behind the bars.
