Bondita is 17 years old now...
On a beautiful morning, Bondita got ready for her school day.She was wearing a red and yellow saree.The teen glow on her face adorned her face.Any male could fall for her glancing at her beauty.All the girls in the school were jealous of her.She could now speak excellent English.Her accent was music to everyone's ears.Anirudhh was now shouting on top of his voice as Bondita was busy preparing breakfast for the family.Trilochan and Binoy adored her standing away.Binoy stated, "Da we are lucky that we have Bondita with us.Jaise us ne is parivar ko ek dhaage me bandh ke rakha hai koi nhi kar sakta"..Trilochan nodded and added ,"apne vidhyalay ki shresth vidhyarthini hai lekin ghar mei uska koi abhimaan nhi,kisi par bhi rutba jamane ki koshish nhi karti..Uski kisi par raj na karne ki adat use sab ke dilo par raj de deti hai".It was 7:15 now and Anirudhh was losing his sane.He shouted'Bondita aaj school nhi jaana kya"..Hearing this Binoy said, "Bondita beta kaam ab chhod do, koyli kar legi ab tum jao"."Ji Baba", touching their feet she came out.Anirudhh was mesmerized to see her in his favourite colour.She was all dolled up looking ethereal.
Anirudhh thought, "Bondita, itni khoobsurat kaise ho tum..aise lagta hai tumse zyaada sundar aur shudhh is duniya mei koi nhi.Tumharre chehre par roshni hai,ankho me sunahri chamak hai aur aaj to tumne mere dil ke sare tar hi kheech diye aise saj-dhajhkar"..Bondita said, "Patibabu kaha kho gaye aap?"Hearing Patibabu he felt elated.He gave the brightest smile.His eyes began to well up.He heard Pati babu after two damn years..He still being emotional asked her to speak again, "kya kaha bondita fir se kaho"..."Maine puchha kaha kho gaye aap Patibabu"..Anirudhh spoke promptly-vaada karo ab se tum mujhe hamesha patibabu hi bulaogi."Ok ab chaliye..While riding the car he thought, "Anirudhh, tum toh ekdam hi paagal ho gaye ho.Kuchh bhi bol rahe ho aaj kal.Ye sab mat socho..humare bich mei ek pati-patni jaisa koi rishta nhi lekin vo meri sabse achhi dost hai..mujhe ye khushi isiliye hui hogi".He was giving himself stupid excuses.Unknowingly his face built a frown on his face...Seeing this Bondita asked,"Anirudhh,PatiBabu aap pareshaan hai kya kisi baat se". "Nahi Bondita" he answered. He murmured under his breath,"tum itni sundar lag rhi ho aaj,koi bhi insaan gadi chalane par focus kaise karein?" Soon they reach the school and Bondita bids goodbye...Bondita comes home and looks a bit tensed.
Anirudhh asks Bondita about what the matter was?She informed,"Pati babu pandraah din ke baad exams hai mera,mujhe tension ho raha hai"."Bondita", Anirudhh spoke,she loved the way Anirudhh used to take her name with love leaking out from his mouth,care filling in the air."Mujhe bharosa hai ki meri shaabash Bondita achhe rank se pass ho hi jaayegi."Bondita hearing the word Shaabash she felt confident.The exams were here and Bondita was panicking as hell.Anirudhh before dropping her to the school campus engulfed her in a hug.Bondita felt that Anirudhh's arms were the only place she wanted to be in,her heaven, her nest, her universe.Anirudhh felt a unique comfort.He hugged her to console Bondita but felt calmer himself.
After realizing what had he done, he quickly distanced themselves, both blushing like idiots went on their respective destinations.After the day examinations were done, Bondita kept thinking about the moment where Ani hugged her.She thought,"aaj unhone mujhe gale lagaya to aisa laga jaise mei muqammal ho gayi,jaise is dil ke vo muraad pure ho gaye jo mere dil ne mujhse kabhi kahe hi nahi".While Anirudhh felt the same,"Aaj bondita ko apne dil ke paas mehsoos kiya to aisa laga ki zindagi ki kashti ko koi sanwaarne waala mil gaya hai,ek nayika mil gayi hai".But Bondita had other plans she wanted to go to Londion, to complete her college and explore herself as a young woman, not as a girl who was married since she was 10 or so.Bondita thought,"Mujhe aapse dur nhi jaana Anirudhhbabu par humne aazad bharat ka sapna dekha hai,ek kranti ka bij boya hai.Jisko pura karne ke liye mera London padhna zaroori hai,vaha ka mahol dekhne ki khwaish hamesha se rahi hai mujhe".While Bondita was thinking all of this,with unshed tears and hollowness just by imagining Anirudhh's absence,Anirudhh peacefully drifted into sleep,completely unaware of what his Bondita would be asking for....

She shook all the wires to Anirudhh's heart.
Results were here and Anirudhh couldn't wait.He knew his Bondita would ace the exam like a prodigy.A special function was announced to declare the topper of the examination.Bondita came home and started searching Anirudhh.Seeing Anirudhh right after her school day but today he was nowhere to be seen.She was growing restless.She asked Kaka,Somnath Dada and Batuk about Ani's whereabouts but no one seemed to be aware of it.Batuk teased,"Boudi toh aise Anirudhh Dada ko dhundh rahi hai jaise unki jeene ki wajah nahi mil rahi hai unhe,".Anirudhh was watching Bondita hiding in the study.Hearing Batuk's statement he blushed and Bondita glared at Batuk with red cheeks.
Finally Anirudhh decided to put end to Bondita's restlessness and said,"Bondita, me yaha hoon.Study mei". Bondita sighed and marched off to the study.'Patibabu aap aisa kyu karte hai mere saath,aapko pata hai na mujhe roz aapko school ke baad dekhne ki aadat hai".She spoke in the spur of the moment not realizing what she just spoke.Anirudhh heard this and felt as if he was on cloud 9.Bondita continued, "dekhiye mujhe pata hai aap kafi busy rehte hai lekin mujhe aapko aapka thoda samay mere naam karna hoga". "Bondita mera toh sara vakt tumhare naam hi to hai",Anirudhh uttered.Bondita blushed hearing this.Anirudhh instantly realised what he just said and to decrease the awkwardness between them and asked the reason she asked for some time.Bondita told everything and ran away, not able to face him anymore.
Bondita thought,"Nahi Bondita tumhe Patibabu ki aadat nikaalne hogi.Aise toh tum London kabhie nahi jaa paogi" and decided to maintain some distance from him.The day was here and the couple rejoiced.At 6 in the morning Bondita hopped on to Anirudhh's couch.Before she could speak anything, she got lost on seeing Anirudhh.He looked the cutest with messy hair,lips slightly pressed and hands clenched together under her bed.Bondita spoke to herself,"Patibabu kitne pyaare lagte hai jab so rahe hote hain, aisa lagta hai ki unko dekhti raho."As soon as this thought crossed her mind, the decision of London struck her mind and she was shattered.She ran away to her room and started crying,"mujhe ek taraf akele rehkar duniya se ladna sikhna hai aur ek taraf mera dil Patibabu ki taraf mujhe kheench Raha hai.Nhi Bondita, tu strong hai,tu jaayegi acchi barrister banegi toh tere Patibabu ki hi madad hogi"She again wore her mask of happiness and woke him up.
They were getting ready for the big day.Anirudhh preferred a white crisp shirt,ironed formal pants and a blazer to top it.(Imagine Pravisht wearing this...i know we would drool over him :) ) While Bondita wore a pink floral saree but not in the Bengali style.She decided to wear it in the English way.Anirudhh was waiting outside the car and Bondita made her entry.Anirudhh was seeing her in an English Saree for the first time and he felt his heart thumping at its loudest.He had goosebumps, his face turning pink seeing her .While Bondita felt the same,she felt Anirudhh was Adonis himself,his strong built frame attracted her, while he was lost in her grace.A observant Trilochan Kaka noticed them and intervened them,"Pati-Patni ho tum dono,baad mei nihaar lena ek dusre ko,abhi jao".They instantly retreated,jumped into the car and reached the venue.Reaching the venue, Bondita went to her friends and Anirudhh stood there in a corner and a girl approached him."Mei Trisha, Kya aap mujhse dosti karenge".Anirudhh had no answer how could he tell the girl that the only girl in the world who could befriend him was Bondita.Bondita heard this,fuming with anger and went to the place where Ani and Trisha were standing and questioned possessively,"Jee kahiye,aap Kya karne aayi thi yaha?".Seeing Bondita's jealousy he smirked and walked away smiling.
The intensity was high,Bondita was getting nervous and here Anirudhh payed a beautiful moment.He stroked Bondita's head and assured her ,"Bondita" he said gently,"chinta mat karo,tumhe mehnat karte hue maine dekha hai,mujhe tum hi top karogi is exam mei".Little did he know that his wife was preparing to topple his world upside down after the function.As soon as the principal came on to the stage,he announced the topper "Mrs. Bondita Anirudhh Roy Chowdhury",Bondita felt elated,she had so much of euphoria that she hugged Anirudhh tightly.While as he heard His name after Bondita's, he felt as if his heart felt good,a pride which a husband would feel after his wife's achievement creeped into him.She received the award and went home.
She showed off the trophy to her family.Trilochan Kaka, couldn't keep calm and his eyes started to well up with joy.He said,"Bahu,aaj tumne hamara sar garv se aur uncha kar diya hai."Binoy added,"Bondita beta, mujhe hamesha se ek beti chahiye thi,bilkul tumhaare jaisi.Tum bhale hi Anirudhh ki patni bankar iss ghar mei aayi lekin humesha tum meri pyaari si,chhoti si Bondita hi rahogi.Congratulations Beta".Bondita listening to all this was very happy until Batuk decided to tease her.He said,"are Kya aap sab, ye sab baatein lekar baith gaye,dada ko bhi boudi ko achhe se congratulate karna hoga na",emphasizing on 'achhe se'.Playing along Somnath added,"bilkul, an boudi ne saara credit Anirudhh Dada ko de diya hai, toh boudi Dada ko achhi si gift degi".Anirudhh and Bondita,stood there and felt shy.Anirudhh intervened in a squeaky voice,"Ho Gaya tum logo ka?Bondita hame school se leaving certificate lena hai,chalo documents dhundh lete hai".Bondita finding a good excuse to leave followed him.
Bondita felt so euphoric,she lost control over her self and kissed Anirudhh on his cheeks.The moment her lips crashed on his skin, he felt content,all his heart melted and he felt on cloud 9.His heart got what it wanted but his brain reminded of the term responsibility.Bondita realized what she had done,she shook all the wires of Anirudhh's heart.She said in a meeky tone,"I am so sorry,mei itni zyaada Khush Hoon ki mujhe pata hi nahi chala,mei Kya Kar rahi hoon." "Bondita, it's okay mei samjh sakta hoon" but deep down he felt hurt that her actions were not out of love but out of happiness.His soul knew the fact but the mind did not let his guard off.
Achha, ab tum so jao",said Anirudhh comfortably.In a situation where he should have felt awkward he felt at ease, the reason was still to be unleashed."Patibabu,mujhe aapse bahot zaroori baat karni hai kal,aap please subah 9:00 baje mera intezaar kijiyega".
Bondita went to her room and started talking to her mother's photo on her desk.She spoke,"Maa, mujhe aaj Pati Babu ko khush dekhkar, bahot achha laga lekin mujhe London jaana hai.Mujhe dar is bat ka hai ki Pati Babu ye sunkar Kya kahenge.Aur isse bhi zyaada dar lag raha hai unke bina kahi jaane ka..."Saying this,she eventually fell to sleep,hugging her mother's photo,making herself strong for tomorrow's faceoff.
I am so sorry to update it very late but since I have my exams running,there has been a hectic schedule for me these days.
I will update the next part tomorrow for sure,till then read this...
