I strongly feel that if we get a nimra-basit ending -- then the writer needs to get her head examined because she is basically promoting harassment, lack of freedom of choice for women and family squabbles.

My hope is nimra just runs away on the day of marriage😆. Goes on to live a better and more peaceful life.

I would love if that happens. it would be the most entertaining episode of the drama which has been going in circles. smiley37

Nimra is so stupid anyway from all her actions and is taking what is presented to her.

I've been watching off and on only because the ost was interesting and the visuals of it.

I know I'm in the minority but I don't see a problem in basit wanting to marry her. His always wanted to protect her and never took advantage of her. Never told her his true feelings which from the start were about him liking her. It wasnt like he liked her in a creepy way like that jalan drama or anything either.

In our mazhab they can marry so what is the harm.

Problem is its a toxic show and going around in circles.

I've seen worse shows and relationships.

Anyway thought I'd give my two cents.

On side note I'm glad I watch shows based on what I like lol in as much as I like reading the reviews some can be so off putting that it puts one off but I'm glad I also look at other reviews too.

so your explanation on basit marrying shiza makes more sense than the writer. 😆

I think a huge problem is frankly the writing. it did not build the case for a nimra-basit romance. instead, it showed him for better or worse putting up with shiza and trying earnest to build a relationship with her. then we don't even have a reasonable time gap but in just a few weeks/days after the divorce, he is proposing to nimra. that is just bizarre.

there is this old tamil/telgu movie where this guy goes out of the way to help his friend's girlfriend through many difficulties after she is tossed out of the house by her mother. in the end, his friend breaks up with her and chooses to marry another. at this point, she is planning to move to another city for work and his mom encourages the guy to confess. to this, he says something really lovely -- he helped her out as a human being and not because he liked her. if he confesses now, it would look like he is taking advantage of her vulnerability as she is alone and all his past actions were a ploy to get her attention. so it would be terrible if his respect and his humanity would be lost and he would rather let her walk away and lead an independent life. in the end, she comes to know about his feelings through his mother and she makes the choice to stay back and become part of the family. no one forces her and neither does his mother ask her to marry her son. nothing like that. it was fully her choice as she respected him as a human being and feels that he will make a good match.

so I can see that this is the kind of track the writer of this drama was possibly aiming for. however, that got lost where half of the audience never saw that. instead, we have all of basit's actions coloured and it looks creepy because he jumped from one sister to another before the divorce is even cold. nimra clearly tells him that he has lost her respect. what kind of man then keeps asking for her hand?

like kadu13 had written, the main point that really irks me is the lack of freedom of choice for nimra. if you really love someone and they are not interested, then walk away. instead, basit and everyone is pushing her onto this alliance like he is the only guy on earth. by repeatedly ignoring her wishes, he becomes super creepy and it no longer feels like love but is all about his desires, his wants and his needs -- that just makes me mad. 😡

nimra never was interested in romantic love; instead, she was always looking out for family love and acceptance. because of basit's feelings, he has further alienated her from her family where she is more aware that she is alone. the irony is that instead of protecting her, he has led her to a position where she feels defenseless, without relationships, and full of fear. how is that love? if almaas was alive, would she have accepted this rishtha? no. she would have not allowed the family she worked so hard to try keep together fall apart.

so instead of a love story, his love feels like a further tragedy and problem on nimra. will the girl never get a break?

What Telugu movie was it do you remember? sounds lovely n interesting. I might watch it.

also your last sentence, “so instead of a love story, his love feels like a further tragedy and problem on nimra. will the girl never get a break?” Made me think. I have always thought this show was basit’s azmaish, hence the name. But now tht you have said it, it made me think is it actually nimra’s azmaish that we r watching?

it is called roja poole in telgu. if you look in youtube, you can find the movie.

yea, I always thought it was nimra's azmaish. if you see the beginning still/poster, shiza and basit are in the middle but they are inside the house. basit is reaching towards nimra but he is separated by a glass window and it is nimra outside in the rain. also, nimra plainly said that basit's proposal was an insult to her izzat -- those are pretty strong words and shows that his love is a burden and turmoil for her. not exactly romantic inducing is it? I really don't see how we can get a happy ending with nimra and basit pairing because the writer has not built up the case for it so far. instead, it feels tragic as well as burdensome instead. azmaish indeed....

Nimra might run off with her cousin Faisal. This show is just going no where. End it already.

yea, I keep wishing it would get over already but they seem to stretch it out like bad bubblegum. think I will just watch the previews for now and then the final episode. seems better for my sanity. 😆

I'm loving all the perspectives. I've not been watching it really and only following the reviews. Stopped when Basit married Shiza so what the interactions and relationships has been I wouldn't really know. True to say it looks one sided and story is very confusing now.

I've always seen it as azmaish of Nimrah going from post to post.

Tbh they shouldn't have shown that basit fell in love with her at all. And the point about bad writing.

And true she never had feelings for him so very one sided.

it is going absolutely nowhere. just ffwd and watched a few minutes and I almost had to laugh. basit it seems cannot read the room. nimra looks terrified, angry and upset and he is going on about his love for her. face palm. read the room, man. he finds out she has fever -- the girl literally falls sick because of the marriage. and then, he is surprised that she tells him outright that she only married him out of compulsion from tufail and she rejects him.😆 how is this a surprise or a shock? 🤣....

I am now looking forward to seeing "last episode" as promo. will tune in to see last five minutes of how this stupidity ends...
