CHAPTER-3

Siddhant after finishing his work enters into his room .....

He sees roli walking back and forth in the room. Little did he know that she is walking since the time he left .. thinking about Mr.Sharma ..

Hearing his footstep .. roli turns and finds him staring at her ..

She goes to him and enquires about sharma ..

Roli : Siddhant ji , what did you do to mr.sharma ?!

Siddhant didn’t reply to her

Roli : arrey Siddhant ji ..tell na ...what did you do to him ?! Is he alive or dead ?! You ..

Siddhant gets super annoyed by her continuous questioning..

Siddhant *shouts* : baas .. what do you think of yourself ?! First of all who are you to question me ?! And why do you care about that sharma ? Tell me ......listen this is a final warning to you ..never poke your nose into my life ..understand..

Roli’s eyes brimmed with tears .. because in her entire life no one till date has been this harsh to her ..

He takes his belongings from his pocket and keeps it in the nearby drawer... and switch offs the light and lays in the bed to sleep ...

Roli moves to the sofa and sits .. controlling her tears from falling down ..

She felt very helpless for the first time in life .. even after knowing that someone’s life is in danger , she couldn’t do anything to save him .

With a all these thoughts she drifted to sleep ..

Next day morning ,

Siddhant wakes up first and sees roli sleeping in the sofa in sitting position..

He goes to freshen up .....

After freshening up .. he still finds Roli sleeping .. he goes near her and tries to wake her up by calling her name but Roli murmurs “ chachi please 5 more minutes “ and continues her sleep ... (mona was her caretaker with whom she used to stay in abroad ..Roli always calls her a chachi lovingly )

Siddhant : hello I am not your chachi.. wake up

But nothing went inside her ears ......

he loses his patience he screams her name loudly.

she wakes up with a jerk .. and looks at Siddhant who was staring at her .... it was only then it striked her that she was in her sasural ..not in her home .

Siddhant : listen this is not your home... you can’t sleep according to your wish .. we have some rules and regulations to be followed here .. understand .. now get ready within 20 mins and come down ....

Roli doesn’t reply to him .... Siddhant leaves to downstairs..

To change .. she checks her bag but to her surprise only sarees were there .. with a chit “ be a good sanskaari bahu “ .. with the handwriting she understood that it is her mother who changed the clothes which she packed first ..

Roli *sarcastically * : sanskaari bahu ??? A mafia family needs a sanskaari bahu ..... great !!

She changes into one of those sarees and goes down ... and sees Sujatha and mataji talking to each other .. Siddhant was talking to someone in the phone .. Rajendra was no where to be seen ..

Sujatha and mataji sees her standing there silently behind the sofa ..

Roli was standing there fiddling her saree without knowing what to do ..

Sujatha and mataji ignores her and continues their talk ... they talk ill about roli’s family indirectly ...eyeing roli .... roli gets hurt and angry hearing those .. before she could talk back to them .. Rajendra calls all of them breakfast.

Mataji,Rajendra,sujatha,Siddhant and roli assembles in the dinning room .. it is a rare sight to see them all having their food together . Rajendra gets a call and he leaves along with Siddhant as it was some important work . Now you would have known why rare .. . Before leaving he tells Sujatha and mataji to behave well with roli as he knew that those two were not ok with RoSid’s marriage .

As soon as they both left ,

They started their saas-bahu drama ....

they made roli to sit and served her food .

Mataji : sujatha bahu look in what era we are in .. a saas is serving a bahu ..

Sujatha : maaji it’s our fate . Leave it .

Roli looks on ..

Sujatha : what are you looking at ? Eat ..

Mataji : haan haan . Your saas has made it with lots of love .eat eat ..

Roli loosed her appetite hearing their tauntings .... but it will be rude if she gets up and goes .. so she just controls her anger and takes a bite of the food ....

Roli : yuk .. there is no salt in the food .

Sujatha : arrey in your family you people wont add salt in your foods right . If you had then you wouldn’t have accepted for this marriage..... that’s why for you I prepared this special non salty food .

That’s it ... her patience level is over .

Roli knew even if she stays there for one more minute then she will burst out ..

she stood up and went back to her room without turning back .

Mataji : look at This girl .. how she left without respecting the food ..

Sujatha : unlike her father atleast she have some shame, self respect/prestige, anger, sense/feeling .. that’s why she left .let her go maaji .. we will have our food come .

They both sit together and eat breakfast..

In Rosid room ,

Roli locks the door .. and takes her mini sized punching bag from her suitcase ..... yep she loves boxing ..though not a champion level .. but she knew it’s basic .. Gets her boxing gloves and punched the punching bag imagining it to be Siddhant , her saas and her saas’s saas . She vented out all her frustration and anger on the poor punching bag .

It was one of her cool way to vent out her hot anger .

After punching for nearly an hour . She sat down in the sofa .. took a deep breath and tried to calm herself .

And to divert her mind .. she took one of the news paper and started reading it .

There was one news which drew her attention .. “ the well established business man Mr.Veerendra Sharma was shot dead in his farm house yesterday night “

She reads the full news ..

“ Yesterday night Mr.Sharma was chilling out in his farmhouse when a mysterious man came and shot him in his forehead . According to the post-mortem report , his death took place around 11:00pm . His body was found by his assistant Atul who came to get his signature in a document . Atul reported that mr.sharma was lying in ground lifelessly tied along with the chair . Mr.Sharma was involved in many social activities through his NGO .. police suspect it to be his rival’s work . As the farmhouse was in such a location where there is no any other house/flats nearby for around 5km radius .. police didn’t get any clue of those murderers .

His family has announced that his last rite will take place today evening around 5 pm . all his friends and well wishers are paying their respect through social media .”

Roli : sharma ? Shot dead ..Last night ? is it the same man whom Siddhant ji was talking about it ? No ..no I can’t come to a conclusion without knowing if it is the same person ... but how to find it out ?

She decides to go and meet mr.sharma’s family members directly ..

Roli takes her purse and her phone and storms out of her room .. she descends down the stairs. First she goes to inform Sujatha and mataji and go .. but they don’t even seem to be bothered to listen her .. so she just goes out ....

She goes to Mr.Sharma’s NGO .. to get his residential address .. but she got shocked seeing what was happening there . Deputy commissioner of the city with his fellow police men sealed the NGO and told the press reporters that Mr.Sharma ran organ trafficking through this NGO .it seems Mr.Sharma duped many people into selling their kidneys for a fraction of the actual price, which is then supplied to rich and desperate recipients in places like USA and Australia. And earned around $2 billion annually through this organ trafficking.

And she got baffled seeing Siddhant who was watching these things by sitting in the car which he side parked in the opposite of the NGO . He was smirking ..

She crossed the road and goes near the car .. and overhears him talking to Rajendra ...... Siddhant informed Rajendra that he gave all the evidences which proves that Sharma was involved in organ trafficking and ruined many lives through his NGO ..and now most of his properties are going be seized by the income tax .

Roli to herself : it means ..... it was Siddhant ji who killed that kamina Sharma .

Siddhant didn’t notice roli .. as soon as he finished talking to Rajendra.. he drove his car towards his house ..BHARDWAJ MANSION.

As soon as Siddhant entered .. Sujatha and mataji made him eat his breakfast.

Then he goes to room .. and finds the punching bag hanging in one corner of the room ..

Siddhant : a punching bag in my room ??

He thinks ..

Siddhant murmurs : roli

He looks around in the room but doesn’t find her... he goes downstairs and calls her name .. but no response ..

He goes and asks his mother and grandmother .. they say to him that she went out . Siddhant Asks them “did roli say where she went ? “ mataji and Sujatha answers irresponsibly that they don’t know .but only they both knew that she tried to inform them but they ignored her due which she didn’t say them where she was going .

And Rajendra made a perfect entry at that time . He got shocked hearing that roli went out somewhere without informing .

First he thought to ask Jamnalal whether roli came there or not .. because he know that roli doesn’t know any other place in Mumbai than her house . But before he could call .. Jamnalal calls him and tells that both the bride and groom that is roli and Siddhant have to come to diwedi mansion for some post wedding ritual ..

this tensed Rajendra more knowing that roli didn’t go to her house too .. without wasting much time .. he and Siddhant goes to search her .

Other side on the road ,

Roli’s guilty feeling completely vanished when she came to know that he not a gentleman but in a reality he was a criminal . But one question which was popping in her mind was why did Siddhant kill him and exposed his truth in front of the world ??

She was spotted by one man who was drinking chai in a petty shop.. he calls someone whom he saved as BOSS in his phone ..

The man : hello boss , that girl whose photo you had sent to us .. is walking alone in xyz road ..

Boss : what ?! Are you sure that it is roli diwedi .. nahi .. roli Siddhant Bhardwaj ??

The man : yes boss . 100% sure . If you don’t believe then .. I will sent her pic now

That man clicks a pic of roli and sends it his boss ..

His boss gets super happy seeing the pic .

Boss : this is a wonderful opportunity.. kill her , and you itself surrender to the police saying that you killed her by the orders of Rajendra Bhardwaj. Then only Jamnalal and Rajendra’s rival will take a new shape and continue again .

He disconnects the phone and smiles evilly .

Boss to himself : look yesterday only I was rambling about my 18years of hard work .. oops evil work going in vain . But today ( he laughs evilly ) ....... Jamnalal get ready to lose your pyaari Beti ..

That man pays his bill for the chai and goes to his truck and puts his key and starts the vehicle ..

He with the full speed drives towards roli ..

Roli who was drown into her thoughts failed to notice the truck .

When he was about to hit her .. a strong arm pulls her to a side ...due to the force both fall in the side .

And the truck hits the car which was parked beside roli .

Roli lifts her head and sees the truck crushing the car .. by god’s grace no one was inside the car . She turns and looks at her saviour .. it was Siddhant .
