Just last month that we told you about Asha Negi making her Bollywood debut opposite Abhishek Bachchan in Anurag Basu’s next, right? 

Now we have your very favourite Bela from Naagin 3, who’s the latest to join the bandwagon of TV bahus making it to Bollywood. We are talking about none other than, Surbhi Jyoti, who gained massive popularity in her last TV stint.

Surbhi to star opposite Jassie Gill in her Bollywood debut

Surbhi is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite renowned Punjabi music artist Jassie Gill, in a movie titled Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai. The film is said to be a romantic comedy, which also stars Nilu Kohli and Brijendra Kala. 

Surbhi’s journey from ‘Qubool Hai’ To Bollywood

However, this isn’t her first movie project as the actress has been a part of a few Punjabi movies such as Ik Kudi Punjab Di, Raula Pai Gaya, and Munde Patiala De. In fact, she also featured in two Punjabi serials as well, Akhiyan Ton Door Jayeen Na and Kach Diyan Wanga. 

Surbhi’s Indian soap opera journey started with Qubool Hai, a show that primarily aimed at breaking certain stereotypical notions about the Muslim community and became quite popular. Later, she featured in other shows as well, but not with much screen time. However, things for her changed when she finally got to essay Bela in Naagin 3. 

Not to mention, TV bahus like Mouni Roy, Radhika Madan, and Mrunal Thakur have done fairly well in Bollywood, and now Surbhi is all geared up too. We wish Surbhi the very best!
