I know people are mad that Aladdin wasn't proven innocent last time, but I think it makes sense. If he was proven innocent, then Yasmine would have played a passive role in the entire track. It wouldn't be right if he proved himself and then she apologized and they were suddenly okay together. Yasmine needs to prove herself to him to make up for her rejection of him and not believing in him. She needs to play an active role in taking down Zafarhe and she needs to believe him before the rest of Baghdad believes him. She is a main character, and she needed to step up and do her part. The story needed to get to this point so Yasmine could have her doubts and officially join the mission to bring Aladdin back.
