Shraddha chooses Ramayan over Luv Ranjan film?

Over the past few days, rumours have been rife that Shraddha Kapoor has been approached to play the female lead in the yet-untitled film, which brings Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor together. However, if sources close to the development are to be believed, it is not the Luv Ranjan project that has caught her fancy. mid-day has it that Shraddha has opted out of the film to make way for another biggie — the Rs 600-crore period drama, Ramayan.

A trade source reveals, "Shraddha was approached for Luv Ranjan's next opposite Ranbir. However, she may not do the film as she is already in talks for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan. Nitesh has approached Shraddha for the role of Sita. Since both projects will kick off around the same time next year, Shraddha is keen to do the period drama."

I thought Deepika was suppose to do the role of Sita? Is this turning into DP PR vs Shraddha PR?

None. It is most likely made by a PH that's with Kwan... toh DP, Shraddha nahin toh koi aur from that agency will get the movie... they've been just dropping names from their agency talents to increase hype for Ramayan. Fail to get enough buzz, they would shelve it.

so they are just picking out the hot names right now to create buzz (Hrithik,Deepika and now Shraddha).

Yeah, hot names from their agency. Sabki publicity. Even Hrithik is from Kwan. Is Nadiadwala producing it?

Zoinks Madhu Mantena who is part owner of Kwan is one of the co-producers of Ramayan... Nitesh just directed Chichorre with Shraddha... I feel they are attaching these names to raise the funds.and attract investors.

Isnt film just at concept level with it being written , casting and release would happen after 2 year.

Yeah that’s what the director said

“We are working on the script draft for the film and we will not be approaching anyone else till the time we complete working on the draft. Every other aspect, including casting, will only follow much later,” Nitesh said in an interaction with the media.
