ITV WILL FOLLOW SEASON FORMAT TV SHOWS !!!

Digital space is the future of entertainment industry and the rapid growth of OTT platforms and the content being produced and presented on it makes it evident. Viewers too are preferring the digital medium as it is convenient, cheap and more experimental. While there is already an unsaid competition between the online streaming platforms, popular network Star Plus is also ready to jump in the pool. 

Yes, You read it right!

The latest news coming in is that Star Plus will go premium and will come up with out-of-the-box concepts with mini-series which will be of 26 episodes each.  Apparently, The idea is to compete directly with the high premium quality content available on popular digital platforms. Star Plus has reached out to multiple producers for the mini-series concepts, and has already started commissioning few concepts.

Doesn't it sound interesting? We're totally looking forward to the Mini-series.

Exactly !

It is a welcome step, they can start with the weekend shows. The cvs will have time to plan and execute, and the cast and crew won’t be burned out from continuous shoot. On the other hand, like a comment above, daily soap or limited episode seasons, none of it matters, if their aim is sirf trps and the content isn’t good. And the most important question is if our tv viewers are ready for it.
