Few thoughts after today’s episode:

1) Kartik is one unlucky man, having lost so many important people and being lied to by the others. His father lied about his mother’s illness, his step-mother lied about his wife reaching out to him leading to their divorce and now his wife lying about her death and their child.

2) Naira wants to go back to Udaipur because of Dadi’s health and her last wish to see her great grand-child. What about the father who doesn’t even know about his kid’s existence? What about his right, his dreams about his kid? Just because he’s alive and seems well, it’s seemingly alright for her to continue lying to him and then blame god for their misfortune.

3) Naira is selfish. Period. How could she not put her child’s needs before her’s? She’s going back to Udaipur because of dadi’s health, not because her son’s constant pleas to know about his father, to meet him. She put her “self-respect” above her kid.

4) Naira thought about Dadi’s wish to see her great grandchild after she found out she might be dying. Does she ever wonder what if someone actually did die in these 5 years? What if Kartik had died in the accident Vedika’s father saved him from? Would Naira still have justified her decision of faking her death for her self-respect? She’s going back because she coincidently found out about the heart-attack, but how come she didn’t care about the family all this long? Dadi had a heart-ache 2 years back as well, what if she would have died then?

5) Manish Goenka failed as a father yet again. He knows what Kartik has endured in his life. He’s still grieving for his wife but instead of being empathetic he blames him for Dadi’s condition and now he will issue an ultimatum for him to marry Vedika? How is the family so indifferent and insensitive to Kartik’s pain and silent suffering? Instead of lending him a shoulder to cry on, Manish continues to blame him for everything wrong in the world.

6) Liza is so much more sensible than Naira. It’s sad that a side character is talking more sense than the female lead.

7) If Kartik does agree to marry Vedika, he should call off the wedding after finding out the truth. Not because of Naira, but because of his son. Kaira can’t pretend to live in their bubble anymore, they can’t be shown letting their emotions control their judgement like the divorce track. Unlike Naira, Kartik should prioritise his relationship with his child over his feelings towards Naira’s lie. Kairav deserves his parents undivided attention and I hope Kartik realises that. Naira put herself over her child, but I hope Kartik does the opposite.
