The sea breeze hit his face and he smiled at the freshness, conscious of how his breathing had gotten deeper. Taking in the salty smell he saw his friends busy attempting to capture the ephemeral beauty of the sunset and the sea. He too took his phone out and after taking pictures remembered that he hadn't told her where he was.
"At Marine Drive.."
"Also, I got my hair cut" he texted her and immediately got the response,
"Wow! I demand pictures!!"
"Mere?"
"Nahi, paani ke!" She replied, high on sarcasm.
"Sure;)"
"Rey!!" she whined.
"Arey you said paani ke!" He faked innocence.
"Humans are 70% water you know!" She responded cheekily.
“I have better water for you:*
"Wow, nice clicks! Ab thoda front camera bhi use karlo" she said, beginning to enjoy the game,
"Ye lo, front camera"
"Insaano ki photos milengi?"
"Kyu nahi"
"Waah kya pictures hai, can I see the photographer?"
"Here"
"Does that hand have a face?" she asked, hoping he'd finally send his photo.
"A very happy one ;)"
"Fine!"
"Gotta go now, buddies are feeling ignored"
"Maine kaha tha itna timepass karne? seedhe ek photo bhej dete aur rakh dete phone."
"Arey itni toh photos bheji!"
She went offline and he couldn't stop smiling.
She missed him, and he was being really annoying. They hadn't spoken properly for a few days now since she was in Jodhpur and he's gone and gotten his hair cut! Ugh!
She saw a tiny figurine in her bag that took her back to last week.
(Beginning of Flashback)
"I'm hungry!" She whined.
"Chalo" He said in response. Walking into a general store he picked up two snack packets and held them out to her to chose from. She walked in too and picked up a packet for herself, eyeing the ones in his hand with disgust.
"Arey, atleast help me decide!" Since she didn't like the taste of either packet in his hand, she chose the one supposed to have a free gift and seeing her eyes on the image of the toys on the packet he smiles and says,
"Tumhaari priorities sorted hai huh!" Giggling, she pays and walks out.
Walking to the park bench, they open their respective packets and start eating. He picks a few chips out from her packet and puts them in his mouth. A disappointed look covers his face making her roll her eyes.
"Bland."He complains and she walks ahead, sitting on the bench.
"Add some spice to your life, sweetheart." He offers her his packet which she declines with a disgusted face making him laugh.
"Koi nahi, I know I'm the spice in your life." He says with a wink.
"I don't like spice" she says, trying hard not to smile.
"And I don't like bland stuff, but still, here we are!" He says with a sigh in his voice.
She laughs, half offended, half amused at his perfect response and flicking her finger on his forehead makes him pout.
Taking out the free toy from his packet, he hands it over to her without looking at it and she opens it's packet excitedly. She places the tiny biker on her palms ecstatically.
"Rey! See ye toh tum ho! So cute!" She exclaims caressing the tiny figure.
"Arey original piece tumhaare saamne hai, tum kya khilone ke gaal kheech rahi ho!"
With a sarcastic smile she keeps everything in her hands on her lap and pulls his cheeks extremely tightly. Closing his eyes in pain, he tries to find the biker on her lap and then hands it to her,
"Oww ow, tum please continue with this only."
Even for a brief second, having his hand scan her thighs like that affected her. Turning her head away from him for a split second, she hides her blush and takes the toy from his hands.
"Ise toh mai sambhal ke rakhungi" she smiles closing her palm on it and then thinks "my tiny Rey"

She sat reminiscing their moments, a smile on her face while her hands played with the biker toy.
Her phone pinged.
"Goodnight" he said before sending a solo picture. She smiled and air kissed the screen. Taking in his looks she starts laughing at what an idiot he was!
She responded to him, blushing hard,
