After successfully setting her foot strong in family dramas and the supernatural genre, Ekta Kapoor is all set to venture in the sci-fi genre. Ekta is coming up with an interesting show on Zee TV, tentatively titled Haivan which will explore the sci-fi bracket on television. As reported earlier, talented actor Param Singh has been locked as the male lead of the show and the makers were still looking for the right face opposite him. Well, as per the latest reports, popular south Indian actress Gayathiri Iyer has been roped in by the makers. Apparently, she hasn’t been finalized as the female protagonist but the lead antagonist of the show.

According to a report in a leading news portal, Anita Hassanandani was initially supposed to play the character, however makers didn’t want to repeat her as she has also been featured in Naagin 3 and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Gayatri who made her Bollywood debut last year opposite Ajay Devgan in blockbuster movie Raid, will be making her TV debut with this show. 

If sources are to be believed, the plot of the show will revolve around a scientist whose experiments accidentally turn him into a superhero. The scientist will be played by Param Singh. 

Now, doesn’t it sound exciting? We’re totally rooting for the show and looking forward to get more details on it.

A source told Pinkvilla, “The discussion on the show is on a primary stage right now. The scripting for it is on and auditions are underway. The makers and the channel are looking to bring some jaw dropping superhero story for the Indian audience which will apparently be loosely inspired by Hulk.”

After ‘Naagin’ series, ‘Qayamat Ki Raat’, ‘Kawach’, 'Brahmarakshas' among others, soap queen Ekta Kapoor is all set to bring another supernatural show on small screen. Titled ‘Haiwaan’, the upcoming show will feature ‘Sadda Haq’ & ‘Ghulaam’ fame Param Singh in lead role whereas 'Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant' actress Ridhima Pandit is in talks with the makers for the role of female lead. Now, TV actor Ankit Mohan has also joined the cast of ‘Haiwaan’.

Last seen playing the negative role of ‘Yuvraj’ in Pearl V Puri & Surbhi Jyoti starrer ‘Naagin 3’, Ankit Mohan has been finalised to play the paralle lead in ‘Haiwaan’.

The talented actor will reportedly play the role of Param Singh’s best friend in the upcoming show.

Confirming the same, Ankit Mohan told TOI that, “Yes, I am a part of the show. I play male lead’s best friend. My character is layered, interesting and has shades, which will be revealed at a later stage.”

Speaking further about ‘Haiwaan’, the show’s story revolves around a guy whose experiment backfires and he transforms into a haiwaan. It will be a bi-weekly show.

Coming back to Ankit Mohan, the actor made his TV debut as a contestant in ‘MTV Roadies 4’ and later went on to feature in various popular shows like ‘Mahabharat’, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, ‘Begusarai’ among others.

Hulk?😳 Hulk superhero hai whereas the supposed show is named "Haivan". 😕
