Radhe Radhe!

Hellos people! Welcome to the fun filled ride of celebration of colors! I hope you will enjoy the read. Do give it a try...

Prem ki Holi!

A beautiful morning rose with a beautiful smile on her face. Dressed in white and shaded light pink ghaghra choli, she got ready with the red shade of accessories. A simple kohl smudged eyes brighten up her beauty.

She came down to hall to greet her parents happily.

"Pranam Baba" she applied a large gulaal tika on his forehead. Vrishbhanji, the most noble man and the chief of Barsana, was a proud father. "Holi ki khub khub shubh kaamnayein!"

"Maaa" she smeared her both the cheeks with gulaal in hand. Kirtidaji, the sweetest person, was more like her friend than a mother. She wished her in their style.

"Radha..." Her mother chuckled "Aise to chhote bacche khelte hai" she complained cutely as Radha ran into her father's arms giggling. Patting her forehead, even she joined the father-daughter duo, as they laughed along.

"Tumhe bhi holi ki bahot bahot shubh kaamnayein putri" Vrishbhanji wished her back, taking some gulaal from her hand.

"Ji baba" saying so, she mischievously stepped back and turned "Main apni saheliyo ke sath khelne jau? Fir Vrindavan bhi to chalna hai na..."

"Haan. Par rang to lagane de pehle..." Her father said a little louder as she started to leave.

"Nahi baba" She waved to them "Radha par rang lagana mushkil hi nahi, namumkin hai" She grinned proudly, leaving them laughing on her cute childishness.

*

Radha, the most beautiful young girl of Barsana, was the smartest and the most innocent one too. Sacred of all, she was the icon of love.

She ruled all the hearts, but lost hers to the most lovable, cutely notorious and the mischievous young lad of Vrindavan. Krishna, son of the chief of Vrindavan, was the only one who could annoy Radha the most and soothe her too!

Reminding Krishna in her mind, she smiled venturing out. She met their folks at the entrance, as people of Barsana came to wish their mukhiya. Greeting them and smoothly saving herself from any colours she went out.

Radha entered the market area to get astonished at the sight in front of her. On such a festival day, whole area was empty. Cocking her eyebrows, stealthily she stepped forward to the center.

Suddenly a sound hurraying rang around as a lot of colors came flying to her. The ladies came out with the colour thaals chortling

"Shubh Holi"

And threw some more colours on Radha, which she smartly missed, ducking on time! Snatching some colours from the thaal, Radha coloured them back laughing.

"Fir bach gai" one of the lady said, failing to colour Radha.

"Aise koi rang hi nahi bane Kaki, Jo Radha ko rang sake..."

The whole place was immersed in colours as ladies continued playing themselves. Grinning on her own smartness, she moved ahead to meet her friends.

*

Water was spilled all over the floor, making the floor muddy and sleepary. Cautiously she looked around and alert she stepped further.

On the passage leading to the river Yamuna, she found some broken pots abandoned on the path. Wondering what was up there, she proceeded.

All the tinkling and giggling sounds startled her, as she turned to the gardens to witness the most wonderfully hilarious scene of the day.

Some boys ran for life laughing, as a few girls followed them with wood sticks in hands. Everyone's faces were smeared in colours, that it took a little time for Radha to recognize Dau, leading the gang of boys from Vrindavan.

Balram dau was the mightiest elder brother of Krishna, his crime partner and his strong back up of all time.

Taking in the scene, Radha gathered what all must have happened. Vrindavan guys stealthily would have tried to enter Barsana but stopped by the smart beauties in their way. When returning with water from Yamuna river, her friends of Barsana would have had the encounter.

Looking their lads blocked, the master-prankster Krishna would have broke the water pots on girls hands and heads, and his troop must have coloured them. But how smart her friends were, they gave it back to them with the colours mixed with cowdung, she herself ordered to prepare for attack.

She looked all around for the hint of her mayavi who was nowhere to be found. When unaware of her presence there, everyone ran faster enjoying the show down.

Krishna sneaked out from the show, as Radha suddenly came in front of boys with a large wood stick. Seeing her out of the blue, unexpected, they tumbled, slipping to the muddy pond at the side.

Lest the face, their whole bodies were got smeared in mud as the girls couldn't control to laugh at their situation. But they made themselves comfortable in mud and smirked throwing the mud at them...

"Bura naa mano Holi hai!"

Dau threw a lump of mud where Radha stood seconds ago. She swiftly stretched and flipped saving herself yet again.

"Nahi Dau, Radha ko koi nahi rang sakta..."

Radha stuck out tongue to them. Throwing water from pot she grabbed from nearby, she left them flabbergasted. Dau wiped his face smirking

"Aur koi nahi. Par Kanha se kaise bachogi?" He shouted out loud, as she retreated, blushing. Well... Bachna bhi kise hai?

*

"Kaki" A cheery feminine voice rang up "Holi ki shubh kamnayein Kaki" Radha entered the home first, followed by her parents.

Yashoda maiya blessed Radha all smiles, as Chief Nand baba and Rohini maiya came forwards to welcome the guests from Barsana, Vrishbhanji and Kirtida maiya.

Best of friends, both the mukhiyas (chief) hugged each other and wished Happy Holi to them and the families.

Balram dau entered the hall with a servant on his toe, holding a tray full of glasses of thandaai. Her eyes sought the entire house in vain as she fidgeted in her mind.

"Arre Kanha kahi nazar nahi aa raha" Kirtida maiya voiced her thought.

"Abhi to yahi tha..." Yashoda maiya looked around for her son when

"Mujhe yaad kiya?" Krishna popped up from nowhere. His maiya patted his head, as he bent to Vrishbhanji taking blessing and hugged Kirtida maiya wishing Holi.

"Mera pyara Kanha" Kirtidaji pinched his nose a little as everyone chuckled. Radha shook her head, elated as finally she got to see him.

Some more people entered the venue to bid chiefs wishes. Wishing everyone some girls made their way directly to Krishna. Now a group of girls giggled on something Krishna was sharing. Did he just forget even Radha was there?

Radha faked a smile as one of her friends tried to get a little too comfortable with Krishna. Her eyes widened as she saw fist full of colors hidden by those girls at their back, ready to play with her Krishna.

Radha wished to play Holi with Krishna first. And Krishna was clearly oblivious about the fact it seemed. She glared at them in mind as Dau stared her as if she was about to explode!

Dau and Radha shared a glance, as her smile dropped in a moment as Krishna eloped with them without even wishing her Holi for once?

O o!

Upset a little, Radha narrowed her eyes at Dau, who offered her thandaai to calm down. He shrugged to the path leading to the springs at the back of the house.

"Dau, Maine bhi iss Krishna ke sath koi Holi nahi khelni..."

Balram Dau smiled shaking head, as Radha stomped her way towards the backyard and he gulped down the glass of thandaai happily in a go.

*

'Yun to hamesha Radhe Radhe karta rehta hai, aur aaj kuch gopiya Kya mil gayi, apni Radha ko hi bhul gaya... Ek baar dekha tak nahi mere samne... Rangna to dur, badhai tak nahi di? Sab ko shubh Holi... shubh Holi kehta fir raha hai, mere dekhte hi gayab ho gaya... Maine baat hi nahi karni...'

Furious Radha walked to the gardens at back, where suddenly wind blew really pleasing the atmosphere and Radha stopped on her track mesmerised.

Some flowers showered upon her from the trees. White, yellow, pink, red, purple... She spread her arms out, twirling in the rain of flowers and flower patels, a wide smile forming on her lips.

She opened her eyes to see, grinning Krishna sitting on a tree and sprinkling petals from branches. He had disappeared from the place to bring Radha over there. Well, he knew his Radha a little too well!

"Hamari pehli phoolo ki Holi mubarak ho Radhe"

Krishna smiled the most heart whelming smile to her.

Radha frowned at his words and stopped smiling

"Inn phoolo ki khushboo ki tarah hamare jeevan mein bhi khushiyon ki bahaar chhayi rahe..."

She looked at him once and left from there, ignoring him completely.

Uh oh!

It's not going to be easy, you know!

*

Radha turned away from the gardens as Krishna jumped from the tree fetching some flowers with him.

"Radhe" He threw some patels on her.

"Radhe suno na..." She didn't pay him heed and continued walking, as he kept on showering her with petals.

"Hamari pehli Holi hai sath mein, aur tum meri taraf dekhogi bhi nahi?" He asked pouting, looking as cute as possible, still throwing petals on her.

She melted, but reminded what happened earlier and Irritated by his constant attempts, she stilled, her eyes glinting mischievously.

Krishna moved forward to stop her by shoulder, when she suddenly turned and swifted to the side, making him lose his balance and to the plash.

Astonished from her move, Krishna grinned in the mud.

"Waah Radhe, Kya adaa hai. Hamari pehli kicchad ki Holi mubarak ho Radhe!"

Her laughter lost midway, as he converted it into a form of celebration again. His mud-studded face only showed eyes and teeth. Her eyes widened staring at his light green eyes, his perfect white teeth flashing a breath taking grin.

He stood up from the plash, taking a moment of lost Radha and reached to her. Taking a puddle from his mud-smeared cheek, he applied it on her arms to hands and whispered

"Issi tarah hum zameen se jude rahe aur apne mann ke sare durbhaav, meil mitti me mila de!"

His words broke her trance as her eyes widened more if that was possible.

She stepped a step back, mentally scolding herself why she always forgot the world in his eyes! She dragged her eyes off him as his smile agitated her a little.

*

Wanting to smack him for applying mud on her, she broke the branch from the tree near. Holding a thin wooden stick in her hand, she chased Krishna as he sprinted from there, starting to laugh.

Holding her lehnega with left hand, a stick up in her right, ready to whack. Krishna jumped and leaped, running forward as even she gained speed after him.

She was coming with a full form, when Krishna halted without warning. Her eyes frowned as she momentarily smacked the stick on his held out hand.

"Meri anant kaal ki pratiksha puri hui."

His moist eyes smiled as lath (wooden stick) in her hands dropped with a thud.

"Hamari pehli lathmaar Holi mubarak ho Radhe!"

She held his palm midway, checking if her hit hurt him, concerned.

"Tumhari maar bhi mujhe pyaar lagti hai Radhe, jaise tumhari har reet, preet!" He wiped a tear that escaped from her eye.

"Hum aise hi sath rahe aur ek dusre ko sahi marg dikhaate rahe..."

She briefly took the surrounding in. Her frown turned to a small smile. He was elated to see her smile for the first time today, that reached to her eyes slowly.

Their eyes locked, hearts thumped as their smiles reflected happiness. His eyes shone up with surprise as she pulled a rope hanging from tree.

Water downpoured on them as five six pots filled with water were hung up tied on branches with rope. He exhaled laughing as she grinned

"Hamari pehli paani ki Holi mubarak ho Radhe!"

She raised eyebrow amused as he turned the event in one more form of celebration. Celebration of colours... Celebration of love!

Water washed away mud and any frustration or irritation left on their body and mind.

Krishna tried to pick out a potli of colors held on his waist, as Radha sensed what he was up to.

"Radha ko rangna" Shaking her head slowly she started moving backwards, saying when he cut in.

"Sirf Krishna ka adhikaar hai!"

Krishna completed proudly, stopping her by holding her wrist. She blushed as he continued

"Jo prem ke rang mein rangaa ho, usse kisi aur rang ki Kya aavashyakta?" He took out gulaal, handing her some

"Aur jab rang RadhaKrishna ke prem ka ho... " He stared as a gorgeous smile shone on her content face.

She took gulaal from his hand chuckling

"To prem hraday mein aur rang chehre pe khila rehta hai!" She applied it on his cheek fondly as he followed her beaming.

"Hamari rango ki pehli Holi mubarak ho!"

They chorused together before holding each other in arms. Radha rested her cheek shining with gulaal on his chest as he responded resting his chin on her head smiling.

*

Holding hands together, they reached the home where Holi celebration was talking place.

People were celebrating themselves having thandaai, smearing gulaal on everything and everyone. The whole place was looking like a colourful heaven, as some of them were singing and dancing to their own tunes before Radha Krishna joining them merrily.

οΏΌ

Drenching each other in colours, water and love above all, they danced their hearts out with friends, families and most importantly each other!

The momentum reached it's peak when Krishna put his flute to his lips, tunes getting their hearts happily insane.

Radha stopped swirling around him as he put one hand on her shoulder, as they looked over the people enjoying their best before turning to each other.

"Jab Krishna hasta hai... tab prakruti hasti hai"

He held her chin up with the other hand to face him smiling wide

"Aur jab meri Radha hasti hai, to samast shrushti jhoomti hai!"

The people there radiated the happiness reflecting that of the pleasant nature.

"Hamare prem ki Holi mubarak ho Radhe!"

Krishna spread his one arm out for her to take.

"Krishna..."

Radha whispered his name with love as few more colours flew in the air and she rested her head on his shoulder with smile.

Krishna chuckled crossing one of his leg resting on toe, one hand on Radha and the other signaturely styling in the air up

"Radhe Radhe!"

It is simply superb, full of feelings. Radha with her typical pride and Krishna in His usual mischief, the association of Sakha sakhis, in between the elders' doting smiles with sweet words, visualized everything in front of my eyes with a smile on my face.😊

Welcome to this forum and thanks for this wonderful bouquet of lovely expressions and the symphony of all those associated emotions.πŸ‘

Describing and depicting mythological characters will never be an easy task for any writer MaDiee.  smiley31

Most of the Mythological serials were started with pomp and show and later, like a waning moon's shine, those serials lost sheen because of the poorly conceived storyline. That'swhy I afraid to watch any mytho serials in the past and now here still searching for a convincing meaning in this serial's RK LOVE!!

One positive thing here is , all the members are learned persons and I myself yielded to the friendly nature of all these members.😊

You deserve every word I mentioned in my appreciation MaDiee.β€οΈπŸ€— Every writer is a creator ... a doting mother to those thoughts, a God/ Goddess ... the origin of all those feelings and imaginations. πŸ€—

Your words are indeed true Viswasruti! Mythological characters are a tough call. And the shows those air online show them a little more tough with their own hint of creativity and research.

Only reasons why I like to watch RK is because of the visual impacts, music and the actors... And a humble try to learn with experienced people on this forum too!😳

Thank you so much for taking out time and this warm words and understanding! You really motivate me to try more...πŸ€—

Hello MaDiee, a warm welcome to this forum from my end as well. My name is Gayathri. I call a writer a visionary as he or she visions or imagines the plot and then turns that into words. Let me commend you that your plot is very very sweet. Especially how RK move from one type of holi to another and the love in both their hearts shine in your vision. Very good effort and pls join us too when we discuss or thrash or criticize or applaud on a episode:) :)

Hello Gayathri! Thank you so much for the warm welcome!!! It's really nice to have your words!

Thank you so so much for these sweet and thoughtful words! I'm glad you could feel the plot and my humble try to recreate the celebration of love!😳

I will definitely try as and when I can to join all the beautiful and experienced people over here on the forum and share my inputs too!

Thanks again!

Well said Gayatri. A good writer is always considered as a visionary for the gift of prophecy a writer possess in her. πŸ€—
