AnuPre FF : Simple Wish Part 1 Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2 Fan-Fiction Anurag-Prerna's Love Story
Every year Prerna celebrated her birthday with her family, her brother and parents. The celebration was very simple. Her mother baked her favorite chocolate cake which was beautiful and yummy along with some mouthwatering delicacy.
Until her 25th birthday. It was when the mishap took place and Prerna's life was shattered. She lost her entire family in a landslide on their previous holiday in Ooty.

It has been two years Prerna joined Basu Industries as Finance Intern. She was very honest & dedicated towards her work. In no time she was promoted to the post of Finance Manager. She missed her family a lot during end of the year and it affected her work life in someway . Her boss avoided her mistake the first year but just gave her a friendly advice to be more professional considering her past records.

Prerna was waiting for the lift as soon as it stationed the doors opened and she stepped in. At the same time a man entered the lift. He was wearing a black business suit. Black shirt, Black trousers, Black blazer and a Black scarf nicely done around his neck. He was busy talking on the phone he did not realize Prerna was also there. Prerna was also lost in her thoughts .He reached out his hand to press the button at the same time Prerna also did the same. It was then he realized he was not alone. He gave Prerna soft smile and allowed her to go first. As the door closed the man finished his call and stood beside Prerna with his hand tugged in his pants pocket. All this time Prerna was lost in her thoughts and looking at the ground.
There was sudden jolt in the lift and it stopped abruptly. Both of them stood inside the lift not knowing what happened. Prerna was frightened but thanked god that she was not alone. Suddenly the lights went off. Prerna instinctively got hold of the man's arm like a kid and started enchanting "Ram!! Ram!! Ram!! under her breath. She was achluophobia. Taken aback by the action of his fellow companion the man did not know what to do. Sensing her unnerving condition the man placed his hand on Prerna's hand to pacify her. He switched on his cell phone so that the light from it will illuminate the lift and ease Prerna a bit. He then moved towards the intercom. As he moved Prerna's clutch became intense as if she was trying to say don't leave me and go'.
Patting her arms "I am here with you. Don't be afraid.
Dialing on the intercom he connected to the technical department.
"What's wrong with the lift? We are stuck her in between 8th and 9th floor. Do something fast and send someone up here for help.
Turning to Prerna "don't worry everything will be ok. I have asked to send help. He said in a very soft voice to keep the situation as light as possible.
Prerna listened to him halfheartedly, she buried her head in the man's arm and her clutches were stronger than before. He could feel his arm going numb but did not protest to the powerful clutch.
About 10minutes later they could hear some rattling noise and someone mumbling.
The lift door opened but it was still stuck between 8th and 9th floor. The opening was divided into half. One half was stoned wall while the other was an opening to the 9th floor. There were two security guards flashing light inside the dark lift.
"Hey open our eyes. We will be out of the lift in few minutes
Sensing the beam of light over her face Prerna opened her eyes but did not let go of her clutch. She was looking straight into his eyes.
Putting his hand on Prerna's hand the man said "Listen to me. We will get out of here in no time. I will just leave you for few seconds to go up then I will pull you up ok. And keep looking in my direction. Don't' be afraid.
Prerna gave him a soft nod and released her grip. The man with the help of the two security guards was hoisted up in the 9th floor, while Prerna kept her gaze on him as instructed. He turned and extended his hand towards Prerna. Impulsively Prerna extended her arms over to the man's extended hand. He hoisted her gently and did not let go of her hand until he was sure that Prerna was steady.
In the light of the lobby looking up at the man who helped her Prerna realized it was none other than the owner of Basu Industries Anurag Basu.
Embarrassed with her act in the lift Prerna apologizing said "I am sorry Sir for...
Anurag raised his hand cutting her short "Its ok gave her a soft smile and walked in the opposite direction.

On Christmas Anurag announced half day at office. Everyone went home except Anurag and Prerna. Around 7pm when Anurag was leaving for home he saw Prerna sitting in her cubical working. Anurag went and stood beside her cubical observing her work dedicatedly. Realizing someone was gazing at her Prerna turned and was surprised to see Anurag standing there. She almost stumbled while getting up from her chair.
"I am sorry if I scared you. But I think I gave it a half day, why are you still here?
"Yes Sir I know its half day but I get bored at home so thought so staying and finishing some work.
"That's ok; it's getting late. And leave some work for tomorrow. Anurag gave her a light chuckle and started to walk towards the exit. He stopped midway and turned.
"Prerna would you like to join me for dinner?
Surprised to be invited for dinner with her Boss Prerna was dumbfounded.
"Sir...I...I...
"Grab you things and come with me and that's an order. Anurag told Prerna with a soft smile.

After Christmas Anurag and Prerna become good friends. New Year Anurag invited Prerna for lunch. While they were both seated at their table they saw a group of people siting opposite them. They were having some kind of get together. As Anurag and Prerna were placing their order they heard happy birthday song from the opposite table. It was someone's surprise birthday party. This reminded Prerna about her birthday which she used to celebrate with her family. Her eyes were full of tears as her remembered her family and how she lost them two years back.
Prerna brushed her tears off smiled at Anurag was observing all this.
"I am sorry... wiping her tears off.
"It's ok you don't have to explain anything I know. You must be missing your parents during this festive season.
Looking at the table across the other side she smiled and spoke "I used to celebrate New Year and my Birthday with my family. My brother was the biggest prankster and on my birthday he was at his peak. My mother used to bake me my favorite chocolate cake and cook lovely dishes, after dinner my father used to play his harmonica which my grandfather gifted him on his 25th birthday and he promised that he will gift it to me on my 25th birthday. My simple wish.
Anurag just listened to her silently and gave a side hug to ease her grief.

Everyone was excited for New Year and finished their work as soon as possible. Prerna also finished her work and was ready to leave. Before leaving she decided to meet Anurag.
Knock Knock'

"I just came to say bye and Happy New Year
"Happy New Year Prerna.
Prerna reached her home finished her dinner and went to her bedroom. She switched on the television, but was not interested in watching anything she was waiting for the clock to strike 12. Time passed and the clock struck 12. She went up to her parents' and bother's picture wished them HAPPY NEW YEAR' and went to sleep. There was sudden knock on the door. Prerna thought she must be hearing things and went back to sleep. There was another thump at the door. She woke up and glanced at the table clock it was almost 1am.
"Who is it at 1am in the morning?
Wrapping her night robe she went towards the door, looking through the peephole she could not see anything it was totally dark. She was confused to see no one on the other side but the knocking still continued. She opened the door slowly.
As she opened the door she saw a silhouette of a man standing in front of her. He was holding something in his right hand and took out a lighter from his left pocket and lighted the candle.
As he lighted the candle the radiance fell on the object and on the man's face. She was surprised to see Anurag who was holding a chocolate cake.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY...MAKE A WISH!!!!.

PART 2
Prerna was stunned to see Anurag there "Sir aap (Sir You )
Anurag started looking here and there and asked "yaha Sir kaun hai main Anurag hu tumhara dost Anurag!!
(Who is Sir Here? I am You Friend Anurag )
Prerna smiled at this. "Ab main bahar he kahara rahu yeh you will call me inside Anurag asked mocking Prerna. (Will You Call Me Inside or I Should Stand outside)
She opened the door fully and invited Anurag to come in. He placed the cake on the dining table and indicated Prerna to sit. She obediently followed and sat on the chair next to Anurag.
He pushed the cake towards her "Chalo ab wish karo and blow the candles cut the cake I am dying to eat.
Prerna was happy to see the child like joy on Anurag's face she quickly closed her eyes, made a wish and cut the cake. She took the piece to feed Anurag but he took the cake and fed her first instead. Eating a bit she took and fed Anurag he ate the whole in one go.
While he was still munching the cake Anurag indicated wait I have something else for you'. He fished his jacket pocket and took out a box. It was neatly wrapped with red glossy paper with sweet bow and a tag To my friend from a friend'.
Prerna unwrapped the gift slowly and opened the box. She had tears in her eyes seeing the gift and glanced at Anurag. "Hope you will like it Prerna was finding it difficult to say anything with so much joy and happiness Anurag brought to her on this very day.
"I love it Anurag it's the most precious gift of all. She again looked at the gift it was a harmonica, red in color with silver borders and Happy 25th Birthday' was engraved on it. She took it out and gave it to Anurag "will you play it for me?
Anurag wiped his face and had with his handkerchief and took the harmonica "Sure why not anything for the birthday girl. He put the instrument to his mouth and funny noises were coming for the instrument as he blew it. Prerna could not stop laughing at this she buried her face in her palm and kept laughing.
Only after few seconds she removed her hands amazed listening to the music. She was gazing at Anurag his eyes were closed and he was playing birthday tune on the instrument with ease. After playing he opened his eyes to see tears flowing from Prerna's eyes.
"Arrey yaar Prerna kitna rooti ho. Cake lia usme roya, cake khelaya usme roya, Gift dia usme roya aur ab instrument play kia usme rorahi ho itna bura tha kya {Hey Prerna how much You Cry on Every Single Thing On Cake Cutting, Gift and Now This Song is that Bad ?)
"No Anurag it was just amazing. "
It just that I am very happy today itni sari kushi ek saath aaj mujhe mile hai is it a dream? (So Much Happiness Togther is it a Dream ? )
"No Prerna its not a dream u deserve all the happiness of the world now wipe off you tears and give me a nice smile. She followed what Anurag said.
Anurag looked at his Rolex and said it's getting late I should leave now and Happy Birthday again
"Wait atleast have a cup of coffee.
"May be sometime later He stood up and walked towards the door, Prerna followed him and thought Anurag you filled the void that was there in my life after the faithful mishap.'
They exchanged farewell.
Anurag reached his car and spontaneously looked up and he saw Prerna waiting there she waved at him and he smiled and waved back. He then took the wheels and made his way out of the building compound. While driving flashes of Prerna laughing while he was playing the harmonica came infront of him and his lips turned into a smile.

New year was very fruitful for both of them. Basu industries cracked many deals while Prerna was promoted to a new post. Their bonding as friend was getting stronger. Anurag was pacing up and down in his cabin talking to his attorney and from the cabin he could clearly se Prerna's cubicle.
She was looking for something. She checked her desk, picked up the files, looked under the take. Anurag was observing all this and when his call finished she was still looking for the thing. Anurag disconnected his call and messaged Prerna "Dear I think what you are looking for is tugged in your hair
Prerna's cell beeped and she read the message and immediately her hands went up to her hair she found her pen which she as used as pin a few minutes later. As she removed the pen her hair came down as waterfalls, silky and smooth. Anurag was about to walk up to his desk but was rooted to the ground looking at the blissful scene. He could not take his eyes off her.
Prerna smiled thinking how Anurag knew what she was looking, she took her cell and replied Thankyou' to Anurag.
Everyone was busy in Basu Industries, two days later there was a big meeting and if Basu Industries was successful in bagging this it would touch the sky of success.
Anurag did not want any stone to be unturned. He made everybody work around the clock. Day before the presentation everyone left only Anurag and Prerna were in the office discussing on the budget plan of the project. It was almost 10:30 at night
Anurag requested Prerna "Lets Go I will drop you home its quite late
But before Prerna could protest Anurag stopped her and mockingly said "ab tum kahogi iski kay zarurat hai I can manage khamaka you will have trouble etc etc (Now You will Say No Need to Bother and All )
Prerna smiled and playing safe she replied "I was not going to say that I was about to say wil you have coffee with me at my home. Both had a hearty laughter at this.
After arranging all for the big day they both made their way towards the lift. They entered the lift and both at the same time went pressed the ground floor button. Prerna withdrew her hand and allowed Anurag to do it. Something struck Anurag and he shouted "Ouch Prerna was taken aback by this "What happened Anurag you fine
Anurag scowled "actually my arm hurts. Somebody in this very lift once hold my arm so tightly that I could not feel it for a day.
Prerna exactly knew what he was talking about started hitting him "How mean of you I was scared then and stood facing the other side with her arms crossed.
Anurag giggled and turning her towards him gave her a side hug and hold his ears with his other hand "I am sorry but kya karta you did hold my arms too tightly that time While they both came out of the lift Prerna was still hi Anurag's arm. They got into the car and drove to Prerna's apartment.
The drive was silent none spoke. As the car stopped Prerna got down told soft bye and started walking. Anurag shouted seated in his car "Prerna!!! Won't you invite me for Coffee . He had a naughty grin on his face.
Prerna bit her tongue and made a puppy face "oh I forget. And sure why not you are most invited Anurag.
Anurag was enjoying his prank "gotach. I was just joking will sure have some day later
They both waved bye to each other and Anurag drove towards his home.
