Rajveer-Naina - Let's Celebrate Diwali - Two Shots (TS)

This Two Shots will be my take on the Diwali track of the series LEFT RIGHT LEFT - Episode 62 - mostly on Rajveer-Naina! What would have happened if Naina were to be there on Diwali along with her friends and her Rajveer Sir? To find out, keep reading!

Part 1

Sitting in his room, Rajveer keeps thinking about Naina and Dr. Shalini's words. Upon not finding Naina in KMA, Rajveer has questioned Dr. Shalini about her. This is when Dr. Shalini informs Rajveer regarding the reason for Naina's leave that her father is ill. By this time, Rajveer knows Naina well enough. He smells something very fishy. Deciding to find out the real reason, Rajveer picks up his phone to dial Naina's house number.

After few rings, Naina's father answers on the other side.

"Hello"

This familiar voice causes Rajveer to halt. He knows who exactly is on the other side. From his voice, Rajveer can tell that he isn't ill - his voice sounds perfectly fine. This means his doubt is right Naina lied to everyone in KMA.

"Sir, kya mein Ms. Naina Singh se baat kar sakta hun?"

Speaks Rajveer as he changes his voice a little so Naina's father won't recognize him.

He succeeds as Naina's dad doesn't recognize his voice.

"ji kon?"

Questions Naina's dad

Thinking for a moment, Rajveer answers,

"Mein Ek bank se baat kar raha hun. Ms. Naina ne humse loan lia tha jis ke baare mein mujhe Ms. Singh se kuch important baat karni hai. Please sir, it's urgent"

Naina's dad thinks for a moment regarding this and gets surprised when did Naina take a loan from a bank? Thinking maybe she did and she has been hiding it from him, he decides to give Naina the phone. He says,

"Ji ek minute"

Saying this, Naina's father calls Naina.

"Naina, tera phone hai"

"Ji baba ayi!"

Yells Naina from her room as she makes her way downstairs towards the phone.

Hearing this, Rajveer smiles He is so ready to confront Naina! Naina's dad leaves from there.

"Hello!"

Says Naina a little out of breath.

Rajveer releases a breath that he has been holding, upon hearing Naina's voice. A smile spreads on his face and he feels an unknown happiness after hearing her voice.

"Cadet Naina AH Singh"

Says Rajveer with a little smirk

This sends chills down Naina's spine. There is only one person in this entire world who calls Naina like that. She clearly wasn't expecting a call from him.

"Rajveer sir..."

She whispers out of shock.

"Ji haan! Ab aap mujhe batane ka kasht karengi Cadet Naina Singh ke aap is waqt KMA mein na ho kar apne ghar chutiyaan kyun mana rahin hain?"

Taunts Rajveer with irritation evident in his voice.

"Sir...mein..."

Naina begins to say but trails off as she fails to put her words into a proper sentence - it's so hard to lie to Rajveer, nearly impossible!

"Kya kaha tumne? Maine kuch suna nahi"

Rajveer purposely asks her to repeat her words again.

Naina figures out that he must've figured out her lies, but she decides to check.

"Sir...wo..Baba ki tabiyat..."

Naina begins to speaks but Rajveer cuts her off,

"theek nahi hai, right? Stop lying to me Naina. Tum achi tarah se janti ho ke tumhara jhoot mein mintoon mein pakad leta hun. I have had enough experience with your lies."

Rajveer confronts her.

This leads Naina's heart to skip a beat. This is so true. Why did she even think about lying to him? He knows her more than she probably knows herself.

"Sir..."

Naina begins to speak again but gets cuts off by Rajveer yet again.

"KMA se jaane se pehle tumne mujhse puchna toh durr, mujhe inform karna bhi zaroori nahi samjha"

Hurt evident in his voice as he speaks those words.

Naina shuts her eyes out of guilt while she apologizes,

"I'm sorry sir..."

Upon hearing no reply from Rajveer, Naina opens back her eyes. She knows there is nothing left to lie now, therefore, she decides to say the truth,

"Sir mein MBA karne America ja rahi hun. Mein...mein KMA wapis nahi aa rahi"

"Dimagh toh kharab nahi hogaya tumhara Naina?"

He shouts immediately out of frustration and a moan escapes from Naina's mouth upon hearing his sudden yelling.

The mere thought of not seeing Naina anymore angers Rajveer and he clenches his fist out of frustration. Upon hearing a moan from Naina's mouth, Rajveer shuts his eyes for few moments in order to calm himself down! He opens his eyes back again.

"kya mein jaan sakta hun kyun?'

Questions Rajveer with a stern tone.

When he hears no answer on the other side, he confronts her further,

"Galat tha mein jo maine socha ke tumhare andar wo aag hai, wo spark hai jo ek behtreen sipahi banne ke liye chahiye, Tumhe har baar sirf peeth dikha ke bhagna aata hai. Kya iss tarah tum Naveen ki begunaahi sabit karogi Cadet Naina Singh?"

Naina shuts her eyes out of frustration even she doesn't want to leave KMA, but she is doing this only for her father.

Opening back her eyes, she says,

"Sir, please understand! Please listen to me.."

"No, you listen to me Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia. Agar tum aaj shaam 6 bajay tak Yudi ke ghar Diwali party pe nahi pohunchi toh 7 bajy tak mein tumhare ghar ke bahir pohunch jaunga tumhe lene"

Saying this, Rajveer hangs up leaving a shocked Naina on the other end of the call.

"Tum zaroor aaogi Naina! Itna toh mein tumhe jaan hi gaya hun"

Rajveer says under his breath, smirking and he leaves the room.

His threat sends a shiver and her heartbeat picks up pace. He is Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat he does what he says! Somehow, she needs to convince her father and go back to KMA!

Diwali, a festival which is celebrated with jubilation and enthusiasm. It is one of the biggest festival and is celebrated for five continuous days. Third day is the main day of Diwali and is celebrated as the 'Festival of Lights'. To mark this day people light diyas (lamps) and candles all around their house. During the evening, Lakshmi Puja (Pray) is performed to seek divine blessings of Goddess of Wealth. People also exchange Diwali Gifts with all their dear ones and burst fire crackers in the night to express their happiness.

KMA's faculty and staff, Alekh, Pooja, Ali, Yudi, Huda, and Yudi's family, they all gather up at Yudi's house to celebrate Diwali. The entire atmosphere is filled with happiness. The house is decorated with lights, everyone is bursting fire crackers!

While everyone is busy enjoying this festival, standing in a corner, dressed up in a white Kurta Pajama with a red shawl around his neck, Rajveer continuously stares at his watch and then shifts his vision to the main entrance. His eyes are searching for just one person Naina! He knows his threat has done the magic she will come, no matter what!

Just when the clock hits 6, a figure enters the house, leading Rajveer's breath to hitch. Dressed up in a beautiful Indian outfit, her hair left loose at her back, Naina looks absolutely gorgeous. As soon as she takes a step inside, her gaze falls on Rajveer, leading her heart to skip a beat Damn he looks handsome!

They share an intense eye lock! Automatically, they start advancing towards each other. As they take baby steps towards each other, their heartbeat picks up pace with each passing second. Soon, they come close, yet stand at a fair distance.

Part 2

Rajveer's intense gaze causes Naina to lower her eyes out of shyness. She becomes enveloped with his eyes in such a way that she feels special and all the more beautiful.

With much difficulty, she looks up and still finds him staring at her lovingly.

Smiling, she wishes him politely,

"Happy Diwali, Sir"

Smiling back at her, he says in his usual style,

"Happy Diwali Cadet Naina AH Singh"

They share and enjoy another romantic eye-lock while silence takes place between the two of them. He looks at her, yet again and gets mesmerized by her beauty all over again. He wishes he can pour his heart out to her - to tell her how beautiful she is looking today but there is a strange hesitation. It wouldn't be the first time he would complement her - he has done that on Freshers' ball before. Then why this hesitation? Is it because he now feels something different for her that he didn't feel on Freshers' ball?

What would he tell her? He, himself, is confused about his feelings towards her. What would he name this new, yet a pleasurable feeling?

To end the silence and to distract himself from his thoughts, Rajveer says,

"Toh tum aa hi gayi phir"

His words comes out more like a tease that he has purposely thrown towards Naina. His words conveys his confidence - he gets what he wants!

He succeeds in making her blush and her heart skips a beat.

Lowering her eyes, she mumbles under her breath,

"Aapne dhamki hi aisi di thi"

Her words are heard by Rajveer perfectly which makes him to smile and blush at the same time.

"Aapne kuch kaha Cadet Singh?"

He asks her, teasing her again.

This makes Naina to immediately look up at him.

"No...no..sir"

Replies Naina nervously!

He is such a tease, she thinks!

While they are both busy admiring each other, Dr. Ritu Mishra's voice disturbs the moment between Rajveer and Naina.

"Captain...please yahan ayiye"

A sudden disappointment is evident on Naina's face as they break their previous eye contact. Rajveer's condition is no better. Today, for the first time he gets irritated upon someone calling him.

"I'll see you around Cadet"

He says with a smile.

"Sure, sir!"

Naina replies politely.

Rajveer makes his way towards Dr. Mishra while Naina joins her friends.

While Captain Rajveer is busy enjoying with Dr. Mishra and Dr. Shalini, Cadet Naina is busy enjoying with her friends, but their eyes are on each other. Occasionally, Rajveer looks at Naina through his peripheral vision while Naina does the same. They even catch each other starring few times which leads their heartbeats to pick up pace.

His one look swells her heart. That look of his burns her under his intense gaze. The way he looks at her, it makes her to feel special. She feels as if they are the only two people in this room and as if the time has stopped.

Due to the warmth of lights, Naina's body's temperature rises, causing her to feel hot due to the warm temperature of the house. She puts up her hair in a messy bun which exposes her bare back. The next moment, she finds Rajveer taking steps towards her, staring her throughout with an intense gaze.

With every step he takes towards her, her heartbeat picks up pace. Unsure about his intensions, Naina lowers her eyes out of shyness getting worried that someone in the crowd might catch them. No need to be scared Naina when Rajveer is there. He plans his strategies well!

Soon, he reaches near her, extremely close to her. Out of nervousness, Naina looks up at him and they share an eye-lock.

Still staring at her, Rajveer forwards his right hand and undo's her messy bun, leading her hair to again fall on her back, hiding her back!

"Inhe mut bandhna"

He whispers softly, pointing towards her hair as if he has full rights on her.

"Ji"

Naina replies unknowingly without even thinking. Right then, they both realise what just happened which causes both of them to lower their eyes.

Just then Rajveer's gaze falls on a candle which is near Naina and his eyes opens wide as he witness the end of Naina's dupatta burning because of the candle.

"Naina!!!"

Shouts Rajveer as he grabs her dupatta and tries to put an end to the fire by his hands and when the fire doesn't extinguish, he grabs her dupatta and throws it away. His loud scream and his actions grabs everyone's attention.

Naina is too shocked to even react. She comes back to reality as she finds Rajveer's palm burnt a little. Without realising who is watching her, she immediately grabs his hand and stares at it for few moments.

Her heart breaks into pieces as she sees his hand which got burnt because he was trying to save her. A lone of tear escapes from her eyes which she manages to wipe right away but it doesn't go unnoticed by Rajveer.

He puts his life in danger every time for her. Does she even deserve his...? His what? What is she to him that he risks his life for her every time?

"Kyun kiya aapne aisa?"

she looks up at him and scolds him loudly, concern evident in her voice.

"Naina.."

He whispers as he asks her to look around her surroundings. She looks around and finds everyone staring at them.

She might not be able to say anything now, but she needs to speak to him later. Lowering her eyes, she leaves his hand and takes a step backward.

Dr. Shalini smiles looking at the two of them. Reaching Rajveer and Naina, looking towards Naina, Dr. Shalini says,

"Cadet, kya tum Captain Rajveer kay hath ki dressing kar dogi? First-aid kit Neelu ke room mein hai"

"Sure, ma'am"

Naina replies immediately. This is the perfect opportunity she has been looking for.

Neelu indicates where her room is. Rajveer heads towards Neelu's room followed by Naina. As they enter the room, Naina shuts the door behind her while Rajveer makes himself comfortable on the couch. Silently, Naina takes out the first-aid box kit from the drawer and sits near Rajveer.

Rajveer notices her reactions and body language this entire time. His burnt palm isn't hurting him as much but her silence is killing him.

With her eyes being lowered, she slowly grabs his burnt hand and starts to apply the medicine while he just stares at her and waits for her to say something.

"Naina"

He whispers her name softly while looking towards her.

She doesn't react and continues with the dressing. His gaze falls on the stand of her hair which is irritating her eyes. Since both of her hands are busy with his dressing, she is unable to move her hair back.

Staring her intensely, he moves his hand towards her face and gently moves her hair behind her ear, giving her chills in her entire body.

She looks up at him and they share an eye-lock.

"Naina...tum kuch bol kyun nahi rahi?"

He asks her with a concerned tone.

She looks back down and ignores his words.

By this time, she is done with the dressing. She stands up as soon as she finishes and turns to leave when she feels a pull on her wrist. She looks back immediately and finds her wrist gripped into Rajveer's other hand.

"Wait here"

He orders her.

She doesn't dare to move from her spot after listening to his order and lowers her eyes. Leaving her hand, he goes towards Neelu's closet and takes out a red dupatta. Reaching Naina, he slowly drapes the dupatta around her neck.

Naina looks up immediately and her heart skips a beat. All this time, she didn't even realise that she wasn't even wearing a dupatta. Her cheeks turn red out of embarrassment. What will he think of her? You don't need to worry Naina. He is your Rajveer sir!

They stand in silence for few seconds when Naina decides to leave again but this time, Rajveer has already calculated her move, so before she can even move, he holds her wrist firmly.

"Tum mujhse baat kyun nahi kar rahi ho Naina?"

He asks with a stern tone

She doesn't answer. She is really testing his patience. He waits for few moments for her to speak, but she doesn't say a word.

"Mein tumse baat kar raha hun Naina"

He shouts at her this time.

This angers Naina. Jerking her hand away from his grip, she yells,

"Kyun kiya aapne aisa sir?"

Her words confuses Rajveer and at the same time, calms him down.

Out of confusion, he asks,

"Maine? Maine kya kiya Naina?"

This bursts up the bubble that has been building inside Naina and she bursts out into tears while she goes down on her kness in the process.

This shocks Rajveer. He has no idea that has happened to Naina suddenly. Why is she behaving like this?

He kneels down in front of her and says,

"Naina, meri taraf dekho"

His words touches her heart and she looks up at him. Rajveer signals her to stop crying and wipes her tears away with his thumb. Naina closes her eyes and leans onto his touch.

They stay like this for few seconds before she opens her eyes again.

"Ab batao Naina, hua kya hai tumhe?"

he asks her calmly.

She looks at him so innocently and utters,

"Kyun daali aapne apni jaan khatre mein meri wajah se sir?"

This swells Rajveer's heart and he gets her to sit on the couch and sits next to her. So, this is what she is concerned about.

"It's okay Naina. It wasn't a big deal."

he replies smiling.

Naina gets up from the couch and takes a step forward. Her back is now towards Rajveer.

Why does he not understand? In frustration, she yells,

"Of course it's a big deal sir. Aap har baar kyun meri liye apni life danger mein dalte hain? Agar aaj aapko kuch ho jata toh?"

This brings back his anger. Getting up, he reaches her. Grabbing her elbow, he turns her around harshly.

"Or agar tumhe kuch ho jata toh? Ek toh tum itni laparwah ho. Tumhe pata kaise nahi chala ke tumhara dupatta jal raha hai? How can you be so careless Naina?"

He scolds her back while shaking her by her shoulders. His concern is completely evident in his voice.

They share a very precious eye contact, yet again. This is when they both realise what they just did - they basically pour their concern and their true feelings out for each other in a way. Both of their heart swells with each other's confession.

Naina doesn't dare to say 'thanks' to him for what he did for her because she now knows that he is willing to do anything for her and 'thanks' would be such a small word to reciprocate his feelings.

Rajveer is the first one to look away as he leaves her and takes a step back.

"I'm sorry sir"

Naina apologizes

"Kis liye Naina?"

He asks

"For leaving KMA aur wo bhi aap ko bataiye ya puche bagair. I promise that it won't happen again"

She replies innocently.

Her words swells Rajveer's heart and in return, he gives her a smile while he stares at her with so much love. His this look and his smile gives Naina her answer. Words aren't needed when their eyes can do the job.

Lowering her eyes and with a new feeling, she says,

"Mein chalti hun sir. Aap bhi neechay aa jaiye"

"Tum chalo mein aata hun"

He replies politely.

Naina nods with a smile and heads to go when suddenly she turns around and says,

"Wish you again a very happy Diwali sir"

Saying that, she leaves from there, blushing leaving Rajveer behind who has a big smile on his face.

"It is indeed a very happy and a special Diwali Naina!"

He mumbles staring at the door where Naina left from.

Blushing and smiling, he heads downstairs as well!

It is indeed a very special Diwali for both of them. Today, they have taken a step forward and they both have figured out what is in each other's heart! Let's see what the destiny holds for both of them in future!
