So I was reading this article:
https://reviewit.pk/actors-causing-overdosage-on-screen/
I didn't get the author's purpose; Because overdosage on an actor is at a point where you cannot differentiate between two projects the star is in. or the star is every other drama you tune into.
and while I do agree with some actors on the list are literally in every other show; a few like Zahid Ahmed and Sami Khan and even Amina Sheikh manage to play a different character in each show...so even if you see them twice or thrice weekly. it doesn't look like its the same character
Which is why, to me the list was kind of illogical.
So who are some actors/actresses who are actually causing an overdosage on your television? To the extent where you can pick them up from one drama into the other and it would be hard to notice a difference.
If you've seen them in one drama, chances are you've seen all their other characters/dramas as well. because of their similarities.
However, unfortunately, one thing also often forgotten is how much typecasting plays a part in actors acquiring roles. So the purpose to not blame the actor/their roles but discuss actors with a lack of variety in their roles.
Number one on my list would be Aiman Khan:
Every new project I see; chance is, it has her name in it; kudos to her for grabbing all these scripts but at the same time. Her scripts while different; characters are pretty much all the same. She fits into the typical bechari /soft, kind-hearted girl next-door very well. Same forlorn expressions. You could see her as Mirhaa in IshqTamasha and change the channel to Bedardi and not know the difference.
any others you can think of? or do you agree with the author's list? disagree?
