The tashan-e-baazi of Kali Thakur and Gauri Kumari Ssarma.

This is the short tale when the Don of Bareilly clashed with the Chulbul Pandey of Bareilly.

Part 1

Call him villain, call him criminal, call him anything you like, but one has to say that Kali Thakur has got swag. How to describe this man? In his own words,

"Hai rang bahut duniya mein, par Laali jaisa koi nahi

Hair Thakur bahut duniya mein, par Kaali jaisa koi nahi

Ab Thakur hai toh his nazar will fall on the most beautiful chiraiyaa of Bareilly. But Thakur ko bhi kya pata tha that this is no meek girl who will fall prey to his evil intentions. Uska panga Gauri Kumari Ssarma se pada tha. And Dabanng Gauri never accepts defeat.

Kali Thakur thinks that Gauri is ready for the wedding but in her head, she has already made plans to escape.

And to put it into action she enters into a saudebaazi that she will marry him only if her mother is spared. Kali is fooled by Gauri's words.

Gauri: "Hamaara bhi ek asool hai, ki hum kisi ka ehsaan nahi lete

Kali: "Arey wah phir toh khub jamegi hamaari

Jamegi toh zaroor because Gauri managed to steal his phone and reach out for help. And Chiraiyaa with the help of her little chirota escaped from the cage.

But not before giving Kali a taste of his own medicine.

Part 2

Kali Thakur thought that he had finally caught GKS in his trap, and this time no Omkara would come to save her. But he forgot that Dabanng Gauri Kumari Ssarma does not need any man to save her.

Kali: "Tujhe humse darr nahi lagta?

Gauri: "Jab bhagvaan hamaare saath hain, toh insaan se kya darna?

Kali: "Itna ghamand?

Gauri: "Ghamand nahi, Visvaas!

Kali: "Jise tu visvaas keh rahi hai na, who sirf tera bharam hai, jise hum kal hi tod denge jab tere saath shaadi karenge

Gauri: "Hamse shaadi ka khayal apne dimaag se nikaal do

Omkara had also once challenged Gauri's vishvaas long back. Just his guroor was demolished, Kali's lust and ego were destroyed as well.

Though we didn't want such a tepid ending to this tashan, all I can say is "Adhoora hoke bhi, hai ishq mera kaamil Adhoora his sahi, but Kali-Gauri tashan was one of the best things about DBO. 😳

RiKara and Kali...were the BEST thing about DBO...the story definitely needed a proper closure...but no point complaining or cribbing

Forget about Proper Closure but atleast we got to see Gauri Stabbing Kali and Running away second time from the Shadi ka Mandap ...It was not the bad closure for me ...
