The first thing that got me hooked to Pakistani dramas was its shorter format of 18-22 episodes. But these days most dramas are being stretched to 28 to 34 episodes.
Anybody else that minds the unnecessary stretch?

Agree. there are also some serials which reach episode 40 and more. it is a drag. but I think there are few reasons behind this trend like: costs, TRPs , lack of fresh ideas, introducing new timeslots ...etc.

yes its driving me crazy too!!! Stretching the story. Why lack of fresh ideas? Theres so much out there they could make a play about. I think its more about people not accepting new stuff.

Less risky to drag an established serial for extra episodes than taking chmce with new serial,i guess.
Recently i quit watching baahi for this reason. It started strong and was fast paced but once Fauziya reached the city, the momentum was lost and snooze fest started. Another unnecessary khichaau one was Nazr-e-bad. Uff!
