What happened to that?
Does he really love Tara?

The love that sends him to jail doesn't have to be his love be for Arohi. It could be his love for Tara. As in, he loved her so much he took all those risks, played with the life of another, but still lands in jail. Therefore he's betrayed by (his) love (for Tara).
