Because serials has no logic ,people watch serials just for entertainment not for logic and according to story arohi need to be keep alive to avenge deep if main lead died how the story move forward

excellent point u mentioned. Its on judge wat punishment to give but If m not wrong in law for a murder A punishment could be either death sentence or life improsenment (Umar qaid of around 14 years. ) So judge gave her life improsenment

14yrs is the minimum no. of years for life imprisonment...may be since arohi was already proved to have split personality and so considered to be insane she got this minimum jail term...
