I have absolutely no idea how RanI Laxmibai used to dress during the time but the zee show showed Kratika in similar attire if I remember correctly.. No idea about authenticity๐Ÿ˜†

Neeta Lulla knows what she is doing. This is not her first historical.

Kangana looks divine. Costumes are to reflect the entire arc of her life. The entire movie isn't about widowhood but more of the rise of the unlikely heroine.

Why do they play with history? If they can't show basic accuracy then what more to expect from the movie! Rani Laxmibai always wore saree, not anarkali.

even kids wore sarees or lehengas in that era๐Ÿ˜†
And neeta has this habit of modernizing everything so can't take her costumes as authentic..

Ja costumes were good but there's no way a rajput queen would dress like ash did in the movie. Anyway the main thing is not to expect authenticity from any bollywood movie Arghhh!!

Lamhe is not a historical movie
If Devdas credit goes to SLB then JA credit should go to Ashutosh G. Aint it?

Though she is a good designer she was the designer of Ash's first Cannes debacle. #justsaying

Why isn't the same outrage and cry for authenticity shown towards this movie as opposed to another one? Also there were reports of the script being stolen of this movie.
This is why I keep mentioning hypocrisy and blind hatred.
People actually don't care for authenticity in either movie but want to drag the other movie down just because of the blind hatred for the maker and the lead actors.
The more the pictures leak from this movie the apparent it gets of the hypocrisy.

Devdas was not historical. So artistic liberty was there. Also there are many modern interpretation of Devdas like Dev-D๐Ÿ˜†
Dev.D was also based on the novel but don't see anyone bashing it or it's director or actors.๐Ÿ˜ณ
