why can't they promote this show and give a better time slot .. sure a lot of ppl will love this show.. no OTT drama, or animal tranformation etc ..

simply superb.

ROFL😆...yeah but it's the norm for good shows like this to never be promoted😆

When BBKD was on air, it suffered the same fate...and then it was suddenly axed in less than three months...remains to be seen how long this show will even be allowed to air on Sony in the midst of all the mythos/historicals and crime thriller stuff that is the staple on Sony😆

Okay, I'm confused. In Episode 2, he tell his mother that he " isn't Vivek Somani's son" and that his name was Sameer Maheshwari. And here, we have Naina's father calling himself Maheshwari.. 😕😲

Oh wow you're right...my bad...I just went back and rewatched epi 2 and I guess I got confused b/w the two last names...yes, Sameer's stepfather's last name is Somani which he hates and he calls himself Sameer Maheshwari...

And now we have Naina's father who is also a Maheshwari😕😆...but she goes by Aggarwal...kaafi confusion hai bhai😕😆...aise toh Naina aur Sameer sach mein bhai-behen hi ban jaayenge🤣

Even if it's his mother's last name, Naina's father has the same last name...it would still make her related to Sameer by blood😕😆

I hope they clear up this confusion in the coming epis as to why Naina's father's last name is the same as Sameer's last name.

Maybe she's a foster kid or something... 😲 Anyway.. I just hope they clear this out soon. I won't be able to enjoy their scenes properly with that confusion nagging behind my head 😆

I think Pooja's purpose in the show is to be an absolute contract to the other two girls. Pooja and the other girl (forgot her name in the show) are opposites ends of the pole. One is the typical sanskaari girl who is brought up as a "paraya dhan" and her only aspiration is to get married into a good family where she can live peacefully without much tension of in-laws or financial crisis.
The other is the rebel in the family who is street smart, knows what to hide from parents and what to tell and has aspirations beyond what is the norm for women in the era...she becomes the family hair stylist as said during her first experience with hair cutting.

Our protagonist Naina falls somewhere in the middle. And i think the coming of age story is going to show Naina's struggle to find her identity separate from the two sisters who are the opposite ends of the pole.

Hey AreYaar, NIce to see you in this forum. Just thought of taking the oppurtunity to say hello to you and thank you for the wonderful posts (Sadly, all the pics and VMs are gone though) in the Gulaal forum.

Have been watching Gulaal like Mad for the past 2 months and going through each and every comment that was made in the forum... well, almost 😊

Gulaal seems to have totally ruined the hindi show experience for me.

How do you rate this show? While the premise sounds unique... the production and the teen actors seem a bit off. Do you think there will be a leap?

How do you rate this show so far?

Hey thanks :) Did you recently watch Gulaal? Yes, it was indeed a wonderful show and a benchmark on Indian TV...the general standards only have lowered so much these days that Gulaal stands out even more as a gem.

This show is obviously not in the same space, it's a slice of life show...while Gulaal was a high voltage intense drama. The production values of this show are good I feel, in keeping with the 90s simple era they are trying to show and not the usual gaudy stuff that's there on TV now. As for the teen actors, their rawness seems to work cuz they are supposed to be playing schoolkids...let's see if they grow into these roles along the way

Dunno about a leap since the main story seems to be about high school puppy love...remains to be seen how long the show lasts in the TRP pressures.
