Actual issue was with CID itself rather than actors. They bought a big bunch of guys / gals at a time and it was looking crowd. People competing for a dialog and scripts were poor. Its the most messy period of CID.

But the direction was also poor and the show, instead of investigation they're generally famous for , they concentrated on stunts and bizarre action scenes.
