(a luminous Rani Mukherjee, giving one of her career's best performances)

Rani Mukerji slips into the role of the anguished housewife with ease, as only an actress with her repertoire of films can.

It's great to see a vintage Rani Mukherjee performance. A perfect reminder of why she was a Film Fare worthy actress not long ago. Even though, far away from a glamorous look, she comes off as strangely hot in her sari clad housewife look. Charming indeed and much needed after a disastrous Aiyya. Her confrontation scene with Aamir on the road is really good and her helplessness in front of her psychiatrist is expressed beautifully.

Googled Talaash reviews and this is from the first 3 results. She didn't get good, but rave reviews for her performance. It's not about the length, but how much impact she made in the scenes she had. "Insignificant" is reserved for people like Katrina like in Rajneeti where she had a meaty role but she was terrible and didn't fit in the atmosphere at all. Made a kachra of her role 🤢

It's difficult to get good reviews for meaty roles, easier for insiginificant roles.

She didn't mean all her movies were hits after Raanjhanaa. Just that her movies didn't flop badly like Aiyyaa or Dil bole hadippa. 😆
