Maya winning for Mann Mayal? What a joke.

Lux Style Awards need to seriously come up with more credible awards where they actually have a category with credible people as their jury (imagine?) giving out critically acclaimed awards to actors and actresses who work their butts off yet never get even an ounce of recognition.

And Mahira as always has to walk away with something. No wonder this woman barely improves her acting chops..there's no need to when everything you do grants you some sort of biased acknowledgement from the very beginning. By the way, where does Mahira's starpower go in having audiences flock to the theaters? Actor in Law did more business than HMJ..so who are these people who voted for Mahira yet chose not to go the theater to support their favorite then? What a waste of an award. Nonsense awards all in the name of "popular voting." Blind fandoms don't even know what exactly they're voting..see their favorite and click away.

Its not maya or mahira's fault that people voted for them.Here so many people said mehwish and saba are more deserving if these people voted for them then they will get the award. Lux should introduce best actor jury category.

If you're apparently popular enough to get votes just because you're popular..you should be able to have that starpower to bring in an audience to the theater anytime of the year. HMJ and Bin Roye both were nothing specular in terms of business and they both had Mahira. If her fans can blindly make her win all these awards maybe they can also help her out at the box office. Boasting about your 100 crore feat in bollywood with a flowerpot role opposite none other than SRK is not something even worth talking about on the other hand.

And even these popular awards are flawed. If Mehwish Hayats movie made the most business and her performance was appreciated as well..then that automatically means her performance can be termed more popular because more people actually went and saw it. When people barely watched HMJ what exactly are people voting for? Just Mahira the person? Or just because her fans like her? Needless to say Mahira's performance was not even universally praised and neither was the film generally speaking.

Maya's win is also ridiculous compared to the others in that category. She has had better performances which she has been ignored for but if we are really going to argue well it's popular so she won then with that argument at least her show was arguably the most popular show of last year as well as her character.
