Mahira Khan is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Raees opposite Shah Rukh Khan. However, there is a lot that we don't know about this beautiful Pakistani actor. Mahira was born into a Muslim family in Karachi, Pakistan. The actor during an interview has said that both her parents are Urdu-speaking Pathans. Mahira's father was born in Delhi during British rule. He later migrated to Pakistan after the partition of India.

Not many know that Mahira started her career as VJ. She made her film debut with Pakistani film Bol in 2011. Bol was a social drama and is amongst the highest-grossing Urdu films. The film was directed by Shoaib Mansoor. Followed by the success of Bol, Mahira landed a leading role in Humsafar. The actor went on to work on in hit serials including Shehr-e-Zaat (2012), Neeyat (2011), Sadqay Tumhare (2014) and Bin Roye (2016). Mahira won critical acclaim for all these roles. Mahira is the recipient of several awards. The actor has won three Lux Style Awards.
Mahira got married to businessman Ali Askari in 2007. They both first met in the United States. She had a son with him in 2014. Their marriage didn't last long. Mahira gets divorced from Ali Askari in 2015.
Mahira was named Pakistan's sexiest woman in the year 2015. She has also been ranked 10th in a sexiest Asian women poll in the same year.
