Jaipur's Ashish Sharma, who is currently seen in Siya Ke Ram, was recently awarded with the Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh Award for his contribution in the field of television, films and theatre. The annual award ceremony was organised on the birth anniversary of Brigadier Late Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh.
Elated on receiving the award, Ashish said, "For an actor, the best award is the acknowledgment for his craft, and the happiness increases manifold when your own people recognise your efforts. Whatever I am today is because of my upbringing, and Jaipur and its people play a major role in defining that. So this award is more for Jaipur and its people." He added, "Both Padmini Devi and her daughter Diya Kumari are extremely humble and warm. I met them again at the after-awards dinner where I got to know them better."

We also spotted his wife Archana by his side. And the actor did not forget to give her the credit for his achievements.
He said, "Archana has always been my strength and after she came into my life, I have only seen everything good. She is like the silent power which helped me achieve so much. Padminiji insisted on bringing her along."
