Like seriously this is the lamest sh*t I've heard when people say 'Oh hum ladke waala hain, aapko humari khaatirdaari acche se karna hoga" ... Or like "hum to ladkiwaale hain, hume dhyan rakhna hoga"...

Like what does that even supposed to mean?

Even though they are portraying women & men in the show to be all open minded etc, but why is the bride's family supposed to be inferior to the groom's family? What logic is that?

This what usually happens epically in arrange marriage .. they behave as they are doing ahsaan by getting there son marry the girl 😔
But in love marriage it's totally opposite .

May I offer an alternative view ?
My family is very open minded and I have two older brothers - one arranged marriage and the love marriage is in December lol.
Now normally.. We host the sangeet and reception.. On those days I and my family barely had the time to sit. We were making sure everyone had eaten..and stuff like that. It was because we were the hosts. The marriage was hosted by my bhabhis family and in that function we were treated like guests- they were making sure we had eaten and stuff.
So for us personally it was like if you are the host you make sure everybody is okay. Irrespective of whether they are girls side or boys side.

However there are very closed minded families who should grow up and not be so narrow. In Ek Rishta I find that it's too old fashioned. Just my two cents.
