Slapgate! After an ugly spat Sonal and Ankush end up slapping each other
Lead actors of 'Yeh Vaada Raha',Sonal Vengulerkar and AnkushArora got into an ugly fight on the sets of the show recently. The spat lead to abuses and ended in Sonal slapping Ankush, who slapped her in retaliation. The fight did not settle till police was called and things had to be resolved after both parties threatened legal action. While the actress and her co-actor have not really been on good terms in the past few months, it came as a shock when the altercation became physical.

Sonal said, "It all started when I didn't hear the call to start shooting and therefore took my time to get ready for the shot. Ankush probably lost his patience and started shouting at me. He even hurled abuses at me, and it became so ugly that in my anger I slapped him. But it did not end there. He slapped me twice after that. And he continued his abusive behavior. The entire unit tried to pacify us but we were out of control. I also immediately called the police and only when they intervened, matters seem to calm down. Ankush did apologise later, but I never thought that someone can become abusive by just a small mistake on my part."

Whats wrong with him? If I'm not mistaken he once got into an abusive fight too with the younger "Survi" and made her cry. He should manage his temper.

true, but this brings forth a larger conversation that needs to be had. Egos, uncontrollable tempers, and violence is and should always be condemned off screen... but we should continue to ask ourselves why the portrayal of such traits continue to be present and possibly dominant and at times even romanticized onscreen.😕

I think it is best not to discuss the actors' personal lives. They are all human beings who deal with crappy and good times, which should be none of our concern, as long as the show continues (especially since we don't even know them personally).

Some celebrities are comfortable discussing and sharing their personal lives, which is fine, and some aren't, which is also fine. We should respect their privacy as we would like ours to be.

Because of the increased occurences of gender based violence against women, we have developed the statement "no man should hit a woman". At the end of the day no one, whether a man or woman should raise their hands with the intent to attack. If you are having a confrontation de-escalate the situation with words...physical violence often leads to the escalation of the confrontation.

At the end of the day i would want my sons and daughters to learn not to retort to physical violence when they are faced with a confrontation. And i would be equally saddened if my son and/or daughter were on the receiving end of any form of abuse.

Could not agree more. Thank you for articulating these words of wisdom so well. We should always remember, in any confrontational situation, No one should be raising their hand to any individual in anger, regardless of gender.
