Manik 's grand birthday Party was hot topic in Magazines and newspapers. Manik and Kia's Picture was the cover page of a magazine.

Next day was Sunday Fab5 and Ram were having coffee just then two people entered into Malhotra mansion. One of the two was an elderly woman and other one was a man in his late 20's.

Ram quickly went and hugged the elderly woman.

Ram : Didi I'm so happy that you came.

Ram turned to the young man : Madhyam bete how are you ?

Madhyam irritated: please call me Maddy uncle.

Ram gave him an awkward smile but lady gave him a stern look to which he lowered his gaze with an irritated expression.

Manik spotted his Bua and immediately went to her and touched her feet to take blessings.

Manik : Hello Shanti Bua.

Shanti Bua lovingly caressed his face with motherly affection gave a soft kiss on his forehead : Manik mera baccha I'm so happy to see you happy after that dreadful incident. God bless you beta always stay this happy and belated happy birthday.

While Fab4 too came and took her blessings which she blessed them with a forced smiled.

Shanti Singhania was widow sister of ram. She was very conservative woman who only loved her blood relatives. She was very rude person who never accepted Fab4. Her son Madhyam Singhania was a womanizer, She disliked her Son's flirty nature and always controlled him.

Madhyam Singhania was a playboy and money minded jerk Fab5 hated him to the core had many fights with him but still tolerated him because of Shanti bua.

Maddy smirked at Fab5 and especially at Manik who ignored him completely.

All moved inside and started talking on random topics where Fab5 ignored Maddy and Shanti Bua ignored Fab4. Just then Kia arrived in Mansion she saw her favorite people sitting with two unknown people she came from behind and palmed Manik's eyes

Kia : Guesh (guess) who ?

Manik smiled : This is my BABY.

Saying so he pulled her in his lap and kissed her cheeks. Kia greeted Fab4 and Ram. Ram Happily started talking with Kia completely ignoring Shanti bua.

Shanti Bua irritatingly : Who is this girl?

Manik : Bua this is Kiara my new friend and Kia baby this is my bua.

Kia struggled a bit to get down and Ram put her down Kia went and touched Shanti bua's feet to take blessings.

Shanti Bua was surprised to see such good manners in so small child she blessed the child but keeping stern face.

Maddy : So now the famous Fab5 has started baby sitting as well.

Maddy smirked and threw the magazine which had Manik and kia's pic on table with thud.

Manik angrily closed his fist just then his eyes fell on Kia who was staring at Maddy with different kind of expressions.

Manik : Baby what happened ?

Kia nodded in no and snuggled in Ram's chest. She was unusually silent and was staring at Maddy.

Shanti Bua to Kia : Where are your parents ?

Kia said with don't you have common sense expressions : ghal pe ( ghar pe )

Shanti bua irritatingly : I mean what do your parents work ?
Kia : My Mumma ish a fashion dizanal ( designer)

Shanti bua : And your father ?

Kia became sad listening to Father's name. But this question made everyone except Maddy (of course) angry. They knew that Kiara 's Mother was a single mother and they never raised this topic infront of KIA.

Kia sadly : I don (don't) know

Shanti bua was horrified by this information. She was a woman with conservative thoughts she believed in strictly following social rules and morals. Kia not knowing her father's name and such a girl in her house was not acceptable to her.

Shanti Bua : What do you mean by don't know. You are shitty mother 's child. God knows where your mother must have had illicit relations with men...

Dhruv immediately picked Kia and went outside as Kia was too small to hear such things

Ram : Didi please stop it. Are you forgetting that you are talking with a child.

Shanti Bua : Ohh please stop it Ram Don't know from where you brought this A child a who does not know her father's name is calling as ba...

Before she could continue Manik roared : Enough Bua you don't have any right to question or comment on Kia or her mother's
Life and character. I respect you a lot and also expect you to respect my loved ones if you can't speak properly then don't talk. I'll not tolerate any such speech about Kia now onwards. It's her mother's life. It's her own decision what do in her life you are no one to say anything.

Buaji was deeply hurt with Manik's such words. She started crying.

Maddy : How dare you Manik? How dare you to talk to my mother like that. Mafi mango unse.

Ram : Manik you should apologize I know what didi said was wrong but talking to elders in this way is also wrong and didi you also now onwards you won't comment on Kia or her mother.

Manik : I'm sorry Bua

Buaji made a sad face and left inside the room followed by maddy.

Dhruv dropped Kia to her home
Manik was angry so he left from home and started walking on road to get some fresh air.

He was crossing the road just then a pink scooter from left side came with full speed and was about to hit him but the person turned the scooter the other way and it hit the divider on road and fell on ground with a thud.

Manik immediately rushed to the person it was a girl wearing pink helmet her elbow was hurt and bleeding Manik helped her to get up.

Manik : miss are you ok ?

The girl removed her helmet which caused her long thick hair to cascade like a waterfall on her back. She turned towards Manik and her heavenly soft hair kissed Manik's cheek and her intoxicating cologne made Manik close his eyes for some moments.

Her voice brought Manik back on Earth.

Girl : Mr Malhotra

Manik immediately opened his eyes only to see Nandini standing there with a wide smile on her face and she was holding her her hurt elbow with other hand.

Manik's face lit up like a bulb both were smiling like fools just after seeing each other. Manik was doing salsa in his mind after seeing love of his life.

Their staring session was abruptly disturbed by car's horn and they both realized their surrounding they were in middle of the road and surrounded by people who had gathered there to see the accident and reality hit them and Manik's eyes fell on Nandini's hurt elbow.

He immediately went near her.

Manik : I'm sorry Nandini because of me you fell and got hurt come we need to go to the doctor. Manik didn't allow her to speak a word he called his driver and picked Nandini's scooter and parked it nearby.

Till the time his driver came he made her sit on bench and tied her bleeding elbow his handkerchief.

Manik was engrossed in taking care of Nandini and she was busy in admiring him to the fullest. She was loving his care and attention. Manik was done with dressing and he looked at her only to find her lost in him.

Manik smirked seeing his effect on her and was happy seeing his love was also liking him.

Thus time Manik was irritated because his driver again broke his eyelock with his Nandu.

Manik : Chale

Nandini just smiled and nodded and they moved and sat in car.

They soon reached hospital.

Doctor : we need to give this young lady injection.

Manik freaked out listening to name injection.

Manik : No no no doctor don't give her injection it will hurt her no.

Nandini felt her throat choked with emotions. She was silently watching Manik v/s doctor fight.
But she regained her conscience when both raised their volume.

Nandini : it's ok Mr Malhotra I can take injection. Doctor please give it.

Manik : Are you sure ? I mean it'll hurt. Aren't you afraid of injection

Nandini laughed : Mr Malhotra I'm 22 years old not a child to be afraid of injection.

Doctor heaved sigh and quickly gave her injection before Manik could stop him. Manik hissed seeing needle piercing her soft hand.

After paying doctor and both doctor and Manik giving each other angry glares Manan left.

Manik was not at all willing to let go Nandini

Manik : Nandini would you like to go for a coffee dat... I mean to drink coffee... I mean the cafe nearby is very good so you know you and me can go... I mean can we both together go for coffee.

Manik stammered 100 times and Nandini controlled her smile.

Nandini : Mr Malhotra I...

Manik : Nandini please call me Manik I'm just 25 not 50.

Nandini : Manik I'm late I have to buy groceries

Manik : come on Nandini it's Sunday we won't get time in weekdays . Please please please.

Nandini smiled on his childish plead and shyly nodded in yes and Manik in excitement held her hand and pulled her closer to him and they started walking on road holding each other's hand and stealing glances of each other while talking about their likes and dislikes and hobbies.
