Manas is very dejected with the turn the case has taken. He goes to the jailor and the doctor and Ria Sen and confronts them. He tells Ria that she is doing something unjust and when she sniggers at him, he lunges out at the jailor and hits him. A policeman in turn hits Manas with a lathi and he falls injured. However, the incident leaves Ria thoughtful. Manas is admitted to the jail hospital and he is asked to stay there since he had attacked the jailor. Simran and Abhi are told that they can apply for bail in the morning and Manas could be released. Ria meets Simran outside the hospital and asks her whether she was supporting Urmila because she was her friend or because she actually believed her. Simran controls herself and says that she doesn't support any person who is in the wrong. Ria ponders over her decision and decides to meet all the women prisoners and talk to them. Manas is released and he feels very pessimistic about the case. He says that there is no hope now and that Abhi is responsible for it. This upsets Abhi.
