Ram's sorrow, Ravan's ignorance, Sita's turmoil, and Hanuman's Bhakti, it seems like the whole Ramayan was summarized in this episode. But the war was summarized by Lakshman's cloth. The orange cloth is covered with red blood. What color emerges when red and orange are mixed. Red-orange or the color of vermillion. The same red, but in a darker shade. The epicenter of this war was Lakshman cutting of Surpanakha's nose. Blood was shed in a small amount then. But, the consequences of that action came back, but in a more powerful way. Thousands of demon and vanar warriors were killed. As more blood was shed, the darker the red stain became on Lakshman's body and soul. And at the end, the warriors' blood became the gift of sindoor for Sita, given by Ravan himself, through the fire of war that dissolved evil from the world.

Meghnad is a practitioner of Asur and Tantric Vidya. Asur and Tantric Vidya usually emphasizes the worship of female deities. Here, Meghnad is a great devotee of Devi Nikumbala, the Asur Kul Mata. So, every time Meghnad goes into the battlefield, he remembers the Devi and draws strength from her powers and Bhakti. The reason why Lakshman was defeated by Meghnad in their first battle was because he didn't think about his Ram Bhaiya, his Bhabhi, or the Lord. He only thought about his anger. And anger, instead of providing power, draws energy from the person and makes them weak. But, the next time Lakshman goes to battle, he will have only his brother and Bhabhi in his thoughts and the support of both Mahadev and Maa Adi Shakti, Hanuman and his tail. And Meghnad will neither think of the Goddess and will not have his father's or family's blessings. The support of your Mata and Pita, both Earthly and Heavenly, is very important. Without them, you and your powers are nothing.

The theme of the episode is expectations. Ravan is expecting that Meghnad would kill both Ram and Lakshman, but Meghnad can only critically injure Lakshman because of destiny. Ram had the expectation that Lakshman would never do anything without his permission, but that image broke because of Lakshman's anger. Sita expected Lakshman would never leave her, but in the past, she became the cause of that becoming false. And Mayasur expected that Ravan was a maha-gyaani, but Ravan's ego crushed that notion to pieces. This episode taught me that expectations are worthless. Even the most firmest of truths suddenly became lies because of one event or quality. So, expectations can only be placed on a constant truth. But, this whole universe is Maya only, it changes all the time. The only thing you can keep expectations on is the Lord, the Ultimate Truth, that was there, is there, and will always be.

Once again beautiful contrast of Ram and Ravan was shown. Ravan sends his brother and son to the battle field to meet his selfish gains.

Ram cries if something happens to laxman world will tell he has killed his brother for his selfishness. Look at the lament of Ram. Yes Laxman was Ram's defense. But when Laxman comes he being the elder he has taken the responsibility of Laxman. Sita has taken the responsibility of Laxman. They wanted to give back a mother their son and a wife their husband who has let him go for serving them. If they couldn't do it, that was the biggest failure for them. Ram shows true leadership. He is responsible for everyone under him. That is why he laments why Laxman went without his order. Because Ram would never give order without analyzing the situation. That is why Ram is trusted.

And for Ram his victory rests on Hanuman. Hanuman is the one who removes all obstacles in Ram's path. He is the one who is helping Ram to deliver on the trust of everyone with his intellect and seva. That's why Ram treats Hanuman equal to him.

Next part is Hanuman. Look at his journey. It shows a very important thing. Obstacles can be opportunities or solutions to our problems if we change our perspective. Hanuman was direction less . Kalanemi comes. He tells a direction. After killing him Hanuman understands he might have given the wrong direction, so he takes the other direction. Even in obstacle Hanuman's problem get solved. Now let us see how Hanuman lifts the mountain. Actually it reminded me of Krishna lifting Govardhana Giri. What is the force that makes Hanuman lift Himadri and Krishna lifts Govardhana Giri. It is the need to protect. When you so very much wants to protect your powers are heightened. You understand the importance of time. You make the impossible possible. So if you want to achieve something , first decide what are you trying to protect. If you can bring yourself to protecting you will achieve anything. That's why a mother's power is highest as she will go any extend to protect her child.

Last but not least the way Ram and Ravan dealt with failures. Ram teaches his brother where he went wrong. He motivates Lakshman on his qualities. Irrespective of Laxman failing miserably against Meghandh announces Laxman will be killing Meghnadh.

Ravan Meghanadh had almost won twice. He had not killed the enemy, but he almost did it. Still Ravan is not satisfied and demotivates his son, asking him to do pooja. Now Meghandh is a man who wants to win at any cost. Wanting to get the respect back in his father's eyes. A man on whom fear of failure has crept in. Once fear comes your power goes and it will be interesting to see the clash of titans tomorrow.

Sulochana sees the dream that her husband's death is near. Meghnadh tells no one can defeat him. Interestingly it is a black horse that is shown putting down Meghandh. I know symbolism is there. But unable to get it. It will be really good if someone can interpret Sulochana's dream

Great analysis, as usual, Sruthi di! The need to give protection does heighten the powers, that is why God has infinite powers, he protects the whole world. And, I love the contrast between Ram and Ravan. Ravan always demotivates and degrades everyone, while Ram motivates and praises. This pushes Ram to the win at the top, while Ravan falls, to defeat and death.

@Gowri Ram enables. Even if someone fails he provide cushion, shows mistakes in a loving manner and puts them back in the field again to fight the battle and win.
Ravan reminds me of those parents who when they see their wards report card which says 97,98 for all subjects and still ask where is 2 marks, 3 marks or if all papers are 100, will you get the same next time. Pressure is huge for such kids to keep on the expectation and more often than not they burn out.
