Since she entered the film industry, Parineeti Chopra has been rumoured to be dating filmmaker Maneesh Sharma, who directed her debut film, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011), and later Shuddh Desi Romance (2013).

The actor says that buzz around the so-called relationship doesn't bother them now. "I think there has been one consistent rumour with Maneesh. He and I are very good friends and we have spoken about it many times. We are now over it," says Parineeti.

The 27-year-old says that she has always been tight-lipped about her personal life and would like to keep it that way. "When it comes to my love life, I am a private person. There are just two or three people in my life who know about it. I have always been that (private) person. Somehow, my romantic life has always been just mine. I don't want to change that. In this industry, the media puts too much attention on it and I am not fine with that. If I am ever asked about my personal life, I choose not to answer."

Parineeti says that buzz around the so-called relationship with director Maneesh Sharma doesn't bother them now.

However, if there is someone special in her life tomorrow, she won't mind opening up about it. "The day I can talk about someone special in my life, I will happily announce it...I think my love life is too boring and no one wants to write about it," she says.

The actor is all too happy to talk about her professional life, considering she recently dubbed for Hollywood filmmaker Steven Spielberg's The BFG. "It was an honour to be part of a project directed by Steven Spielberg. There are only two principal characters; the giant and the 12-year-old girl Sophie. Mr (Amitabh) Bachchan gave his voice for the giant and I was chosen for the girl. It was a huge honour and when I started work for the film, it was so much fun. I had never done anything like this before...as in dubbed for another character. It was a huge deal for me.
