Can not believe Mera Naam Yousuf Hai wasn't even nominated. In my opinion, hands down best show from 2015. Such a shame that it wasn't even nominated, let alone the show winning anything.

And, Mahira always wins...why even bother having nominees for the best actress section. Just hand her the awards.

Song of the year - Ali Zafar clearly did not deserve this. I mean the hype Shakar Wandaare created this year.. from universities to MUNs, this song was everywhere. I had my farewell in March and both senior and junior year performed on this song. It had such appealing visuals and brilliant cinematography. It is such a colourful and energetic song.. how on earth did Rockstar get this award? Guess they were just trying to hand over th award to Ali for hosting the event.

Best film actress - Idk I haven't watched Bin Roye but from the reviews, all I know is that Mahira was amazing in the movie and was the only good thing in that badly edited movie. People reviewed that she played Saba very well portraying all the dynamics. But still.. Mahira winning from the likes of Sania Saeed and Samiya Mumtaz is not justified. How can Sania Saeed go unnoticed?

Best Film - Thankfully Moor got it! I was highly pissed when all the events did not acknowledge films like Moor and Shah. JPNA might be good but Moor and Shah are another level of brilliance.

Best drama actress - Well.. I think Mahira deserved this one. Sadqey Tumhare was pathetic, I agree but Mahira was amazing in it. She was the saving grace along with Samiya Mumtaz. And let's admit it, she's a waaay better performer than the likes of Maya and Sajjal. If Maya had been nominated for Mera Naam Yousuf Hai, then she would have deserved this one but she was really unimpressive in DeD.

Best drama actor - I personally wanted it to be Osman Khalid Butt but then again, Faisal Qureshi is so versatile that with him being in the nominations Obi did not stand a chance. Newbies can't really beat the likes of Faisal I think.

Best Writer - Ugh. Khalil ur Rehman Qamar didn't even deserve this. He is a terrific writer no doubt but ST is one of his pathetic works. I wish they nominated MNYH because it deserved this so much. I can't believe they gave him this award!

Best Play - well deserved! Diyar e Dil was the only good thing I watched last year tho my opinions would have differed is MNYH was nominated.

Best OST - This is the second time that DeD's ost won despite the fact that Alvida's was nominated. I do t understand this.. I'd prefer Alvida's ost over DeD's ost any day.

Best director - I didn't watch Rang Laga tho but still Haseeb Hassan didn't deserve this. From what I have seen of him in DeD and Mann Maya, he drags his shows a lot and loves including excessive drama and unrealistic scenes. Mehreen Jabbar should have gotten this for MNYH.

Best dressed - I know people are pissed that Mahira got three awards but let's admit it, she was the only one who looked good. Others like Maya and Hocane sisters looked pretty bad honestly. The only people I liked other than Mahira are Ayesha Khan and Sajjal Ali though Ayesha Khan's hairdo could have been better. Actresses who could have given Mahira competition like Saba Qamar and Hareem Farooq didnt even attend the event. And coming to Hamza, this black shalwar kurta has become his uniform for award shows. Is he recycling it or what? 😆 Fahad Mustafa or Humayun Saeed would have been better. But why is this even included? Men can't even wear anything other than a three piece suit. All the experiments turn out to be disastrous because Obi looked so bad in phoolo'n wala coat and I remember Gohar Rasheed and Uzair Jaswal from hum awards.

What pissed me off is MNYH being absent from the nominations and Sadqey Tumhare being nominated in the best director and best play category. But still I feel like the awards were very close to being fair at least compared to the previous years, they weren't that biased. Though MNYH would have been a game changer! Three serials of humtv and one of ARY.. maajra kya hai? Doesnt A- Plus exist? Geo I understand because it doesn't air anything good.

Why didn't Saba Qamar, Amina Sheikh, Hareem Farooq, Sanam Saeed attend? Some big names were missing.
