The episode starts with judge declaring the kidnapper as a criminal and ordering that a DNA test for khushi, Survi and Kartik. Survi says that it's better if they keep khushi out of this since she will be affected. The judge complies with Survi and asks her to do what needs. Survi overhears the lawyer assuring Kartik that now it's just a matter of time, and the result of DNA test that will solve everything. Survi gets dizzy. Kartik notices this, and rushes to catch her as she sways. There an awkward romantic eyelock follows, then he asks if she is okay. She says it's just dizziness. He chides her for not taking care of herself. They are both surprised to see him being so concerned. He covers quickly, however. The judge watches their exchange intently. Survi wishes she could erase that time when they lost the child, she'd have been with him.
Jatin asks survi what happened in court she comes back. She narrates and asks where is khushi. He shows her and she finds khushi in the temple. Jatin tells survi that ever since she returned, she's standing like this only. She hugs her, saying that people are wrong to blame her as a liar. Survi is appalled. khushi asks if she'd leave her ever. She denies saying that she'd never let her go away and asks her never to think anyone can snatch her before wiping her tears. Jatin and khushi goes to get food while Survi stands broodingly thinking the court proceedings. Meanwhile Kartik comes excitedly calling for khushi. She stops him and asks him to get out. He says that he's here to meet his daughter, as he won't give her another chance to lie, as the DNA sample will be taken right in front of her eyes. Survi agrees, then asks him to leave, as khushi shouldn't know about the case. Kartik agrees for khushi's sake then asks her to get her to meet at Sanjeevani Hospital. He shows the toys he brought for khushi before walking off.
At dinner, khushi feeds survi, while she's tensed due to the impending DNA test. Survi stealthily tries to bring up the topic of a routine checkup and khushi complies for her sake. Survi dozes with khushi on her lap. Kartik sees the pics and imagines what khushi's room would look like.
The next morning at hospital, Khushi gives her blood sample to perform DNA test, then doctor takes survi's sample. Kartik watches from outside. Then he too gives his blood sample.
Jatin and Survi find that no lawyer is willing to accept case against Kartik and wonder what to do. Tai gets khushi's room arranged. Riya huffs how she would be ignored if khushi comes here. Tai indulges her in conspiring strategy to irritate khushi after she comes, so that she leaves soon.
In court, judge arrives and starts the proceedings. She finds Survi missing, and kartik's lawyer instigates her furthermore, that Survi won't come. The judge says that after 15 minutes, she'll give her verdict, if Survi is still not present. Outside in the corridor, Jatin asks survi what's her next move, and then goes onto point out what would happen, when the court takes away her khushi from her. She is distraught and says that right now, she'll act and not waste another second in talking. Inside, Kartik is amused, when the judge declares that due to the defence's absence, the case is given in the Kartik's favour. Right then Survi enters wearing lawyer's coat. She says that she's here to fight her own case. Kartik is stunned to see her.
Precap: The judge says that she'll first check DNA test report, if its positive, it would indicate that khushi is Survi and Kartik's daughter. They find that the test is negative.
